I can understand the decission to just stop coming to a place where you don't like the climate anymore. Real shame tho, Jason X was pretty cool and who he had issues with haven't even posted that much since. All we did was not be happy with Sony's new draconian censorship policies and he flipped out like a baby. Anything vaguely related to women and video games makes the logic centers of some people's brains shut down, it's sad. And here I thought Jason simply went back to Camp Crystal Lake to murder more promiscuous counselors. Or to battle it out with Freddy Krueger.

With wrapping up Mega Man & Bass the other day I finally managed to beat all 12 mainline Mega Man games (still have to throw in GB MMV sometime though). So I'm continuing with the Mega Man X series, and got Mega Man X Legacy Collection for Switch. Hopefully it'll be a better use of 20 bucks than Mega Man Legacy Collection 2. EDIT: By that I mean that I got MMLC2 for the sole purpose of playing MM7 and 8. I already owned 9 and 10 and I love them like everyone else. In that regard, the purchase was dissapointing. All we did was not be happy with Sony's new draconian censorship policies and he flipped out like a baby. Anything vaguely related to women and video games makes the logic centers of some people's brains shut down, it's sad. I don't think we really need to start this shit again, do we? Much less acting cocky about being part of the reason a long-time member quit the board. I think forums are a dying enough medium even without toxicity.

You got super irationaly irritated when a website changed its design or a Disney Park one of their rides. Maybe you should stop constantly complaining about "people these days" and look at yourself for a bit.

Is it just me, or are FPS games getting more and more gruesome and violent? I was looking at rumors about the next Call of Duty game and it said that the new Black Ops will be more gruesome than the already nasty Modern Warfare reboot coming this year. Our country had TWO mass shootings in the last week or so and you developers are bragging about how gruesome and realistic your shooter is,WTH? Sigh, I miss late 90's - mid 2000's FPS'es like Shogo,F.E.A.R.,Quake 2 and Half-Life(of course!) If this is how new FPS games will be, then I want 3D platformers to officially make a comeback. Video games do not cause mass shootings; that is a ridiculous assertion. Congratulations! I still have yet to beat 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, or Mega Man & Bass... >_> I've got quite a ways to go in that regard.

Jason, along with other previous regulars, had perfectly valid reasons for leaving. Hes alive and well on other parts of the internet. Odd choices, but I'll take it over some of the more recent titles.

I talk with Jason like every day, lol Oooh, Vice: Project Doom wasn't a game I was expecting to see I've never played it, but I've heard it recommended as one of the more essential action-platformers which game out later on in the NES' lifetime. I'll have to give it a shot :3

I am just saying that is now is not the time to release a gruesome and realistic FPS like the Modern Warfare reboot. I enjoy playing violent FPS'es that so unrealistic and over the top, not ones that look like a segment from the network news or worse, snuff films. That's also why I prefer the PS2 era GTA games to the PS4 era ones, even though I liked GTA IV.

mainpatr , the US has mass-shootings literally all the time. Like... sometimes multiple shootings in a single day. By that logic, there would never be a good time to release a violent FPS. If you don't like it, then fine, you don't have to play it. But it has literally no connection to mass shootings at all; assigning any blame to video games when stuff like white supremacist rhetoric has been increasing in the current political landscape, is ridiculous deflection.

I know. It's just I used to be a big Call of Duty fan,and I really don't like the direction this game is going. In comparison,I greatly enjoyed Advanced Warfare, even more so with the Me-Too Movement because I got to fight Kevin Spacey at the end of the game.

X-pert74 Vice: Project Doom is one of the rare NES action platformers I really like. It's far smoother and more responsive than Ninja Gaiden or anything else on the console, really. Still got a few BS parts, but not that many. Very solid game, and the levels in the other genres are actually decent for once and make it seem like more of a big adventure overall.

Completed Pychonauts last night. Wasn't able to get everything like the remaining brains or cards due to there being a "point of no return." Sucks when a game does that to you.

The Ninja Gaiden trilogy is one of my favorite things ever, so I'm definitely curious to try something which apparently plays even better, lol.

There's a slight delay between the moment you press the button and the moment the sword comes out in Ninja Gaiden. Vice is definitely more responsive. Personally I hate Ninja Gaiden because the level design is raw troll-infested sewage, but there are some similarities between the two games overall, so you'll probably like Vice.

The nice thing about Vice:Project Doom is that it mixes up the platforming action with Operation Wolf style 3rd person scrolling shooter scenes, and Spy Hunter style car shooter scenes. Level design is certainly less frustrating than Ninja Gaiden. You won't be bogged down by cheap pitfall deaths. Plus you get to switch between gun, grenade, and melee weapon at will.
