I'll likely start on Icebourne, sometime next week. I'm still juggling Cosmic Fantasy 2 and Tales of Phantasia, between collecting the rest of the joke endings for Nier Automata.

I love it whenever Yoko Shimomura creates a track for Smash...

Started playing Gears 5, as I enjoy the series, and I must say it is one of the buggiest games I have ever played. We have up somewhere around 3:30 am after repeated issues. š

For those of you that don't really focus on Smash Bros boards. Scorpion, Minecraft Steve, Geno, Shantae, Ryu Hayabusa, and the Doomguy are all top picks and would be very well received if they made it into Smash. Of course, some of those would require alot more finesse when it comes to adapting them to the Smash Bros. Also, I've gotta agree with people on Lara and Crash. I'd rather those were reserved by Sony for a future PS All-Star sequel since despite no longer being purely associated with the Sony they really did help build the Playstation brand back in the day. Some of Sony's biggest studios would most likely not be around if it wasn't for those franchises.
Also slight note, if you play that Banjo song two posts up and then scroll up to the Iceborne gif it's about the best thing ever.

Personally, I want some Final Fight characters in there. Playable Mike Haggar for the win!

Which is exactly how I feel about Snake and Cloud, though their respective franchise do of course have stronger Nintendo connections in the past. Some people think Lara and Crash would feel āout of placeā in Smash, but they donāt think Cloud is? Thatās strange to me. I of course think they all belong in the worldās #1 video game character brawler. Anyway, a new PS All-Star would be really fun!

I'm kinda hoping that we'll get some Starfox 2 rep at some point (to promote the SNES Classic), whether it'll be more spirits or Fay Spaniel/Miyu Lynx.

PS All Star was one big miss opportunities the video game. How Sony screws up a crossover like that is bizarre. They've been flaky with their legacy time to time. If they put some real effort into it, I would welcome a successor as well.
I still would like to see Crash in Smash Bros. My other third party choices would be Professor Layton, Bub/Bob from Bubble Bobble and Prince of All Cosmos from Katamari. Generally if it is from Sega/Capcom/Namco I would be thrilled too.

Although having your game's final boss be the company's failed attempt at a mascot is rather amusing.

It actually looks good too. Like, it's a licensed fast food game but looks like some effort is put into it. Reminds me of the old days of Treasure's McD game and Cool Spot.
Seeing this also makes me wonder why visual novels were never really a thing in the Western world. We let potential like his slip by for decades.

I feel those games could've been significantly more enjoyable without the branding - the constant reminder that this game's purpose is to make you like company X more is distracting from the actual games. (The European Cool Spot actually had the logos in question removed - though there are still green bottles and of course the titular character remains). In-game advertisement for real world brands and products shouldn't be a thing, especially not in commercial games (I'm still bitter about the ads in Wave Race Blue Storm).
The only exeptions I occasionally find acceptable are when it's for other gaming franchises (preferably with a connection to the main game) and if it's done tastefully.

I have to say I couldn't help but crack a smile when I saw the trailer for this. It's so silly. Any chance this will be the beginning of some dating sims with other fast food spoke persons. Ones like Wendy's, Ronald McDonald (for those with a clown fetish,) or Ugh, the King from those Burger King commercials.

Seems like KFC is taking their whole mantra of "We only do well when we embrace the Colonel" a little too literally!
