I like Professor Dog already. That bowl of Kentucky fried karaage over rice looks so damn good right now.

Do we know what exactly is going to be available on 0303 2020? Is it the Midgar part from disc 1? I wonder how they’re naming it if that’s the case.. The box art in the trailer simply says Final Fantasy VII Remake but it needs something more.... perhaps add ”Prologue” or ”Part I”? Anyway, impressive trailer as expected. SquareEnix always make great trailers. I just hope the combat is really good, not convinced just yet...

Knowing that it only goes to Midgar is giving me a bit of pre-order remorse. At this rate, it might take like 3 episodes just to get through disc 1. Might as well wait until they finish the whole game, and sell the Super Memorial Deluxe 30th Anniversary edition with all DLC content for $29.99.

Honestly, I just need "expanded Midgar" to mean we get a shit-ton of customization option when dressing up Cloud as a girl and I'm sold.

Speaking of Final Fantasy, I've just started Final Fantasy I. Boy, this game sure introduces palette swaps quickly, eh? I'm pretty sure the 3rd and 4th enemies I encountered were just the 1st and 2nd palette-swapped.
Anyway, I'm going in as blind as I can, and I'm not very far at all yet. The introduction that crossing the first bridge triggers is pretty cool. Shows that they were already thinking a bit more cinematically/epic than what they were able to do in 1987. I did look up what spells are broken and how each stat works, since that's a little confusing without explaination. For example, it's obvious that Hit % = 7 doesn't mean that my character only has a chance of 7% to hit the enemy. Just went with Fighter/Red Mage/White Mage/Black Mage. So far, the White and Black mages are still pretty useless, so fights tend to take a while, especially if there's like 7 or 8 enemies.

It is Rebuild of Evangelion all over again. 1.0 came out in 2007 and part 4 (titled 3.0+1.0 because screw conventional titling) is set sometime June 2020. Probably take the whole PS5 lifespan to reach the final boss.

Probably take the whole PS5 lifespan to reach the final boss. Yeah, turn-based life shortcomings.

At the rate they're going, 2027 is a little ambitious. 35th anniversary in 2032 on the other hand...
