Epic's giveaway of the day is SUPERHOT! Looks like tomorrow might be Firewatch?
They must be dumping a staggering amount of money into these promotions! I hope the publishers are making good money. (It would be interesting if they tied compensation to the number of actual installations, but that would be ridiculous – Steam has probably made most of its money selling games that people never installed.)

I had to send my Switch to Nintendo for repairs because the fan started freaking out. That was four weeks ago and it finally got fixed. For free no less, which was surprising since I got the system at launch. So anyway, it was supposed to arrive yesterday, but it got delivered to the wrong adress (right street, wrong number) and the people who live on that adress refused it, so the mail service sent it back to Nintendo. The delivery guy really should know better and check if it was meant for someone living on 1-92 instead of 92, but then again, this is the same guy who tends to dump packages in the laundryroom of my apartment complex if people aren't home. Would've saved him and his colleagues a bunch of work. Anyway, now it's in some random location in a city three hours from where I live and I have no idea what's going to happen, what Nintendo will do when they get it again, or what I'm supposed to do because the mail service doesn't take calls in the weekend. Ugh. I had a dream last night where Nintendo cancelled Metroid Prime 4. As horrible as that may sound it made me think about my video game predictions for 2020 (Metroid being cancelled is not one of them though...... or is it?) Here they are: - Sony will reveal an ICO remake, developed by Bluepoint. Either for PS4 or PS5 or both. - Travis Touchdown comes to Smash Ultimate. - SquareEnix releases a Final Fantasy XIII Trilogy remaster with all three games in a collection. - Konami finally reveals a new console Castlevania in the making and it is totally not what fans wanted. Again. - Nier Remaster for the PS4 + Automata 2 reveal. There! I said it. What are your predictions? -There are currently no known Mario games that have yet to come out. Considering there are always a couple a year, we have to learn about some pretty soon. I'm betting on an Odyssey sequel and something Paper Mario related (TTYD remake?) -Konami finds a new way to dissapoint people. I'm gonna bet on Castlevania too. -Final Fantasy 16 revealed, though it won't come out in a long time, but before all parts of VII have finished releasing. -Dark Souls or Monster Hunter in Smash. Or both, considering there will be a couple more to be added. -Tons of discussions on whether or not something seen about a PS5/Xbox Series X game is in-game or not -Would be nice if Nintendo did something for the 40th anniversary of the Game & Watch, considering it's where they really broke into the gaming market. -Shouldn't Pikmin 4 be out by now? -Find out what Retro has been doing for the last 5 years. Hopefully a third DKC game.

Pikmin 4 was announced in 2015 and supposedly near completion then. There's obviously a platform change, but that still doesn't explain the delay as it's been since 2017 that it's even been mentioned.
I'm hoping for some SMT V info. It's been almost 3 years with barely any information information past it existing. It's Atlus's first UE4 game so maybe there's some technical issues.
Edit: Saw a little bit of an interview with the president of Falcom, and apparently sales of Ys VIII were equal on PS4 and Switch overseas although it was also implied that Japanese Switch sales were low. So, I'm going to predict that Ys IX will have a Switch version announced.

Hello everyone! As you may have noticed I am unfortunately not active in the forum anymore, and didn't really play any games this year, so if anyone wishes to create the yearly gaming experiences thread, by all means go ahead! I'd usually do it around this time. It's a fun space to put it all in retrospective and share what you enjoyed this 2019!
That said, merry Christmas! And (soon) happy new year 2020!

Hey! Does anybody know what's going on at the Sega-16 website? It's been down for a few days now. All I get is a blank screen. I'm hoping it isn't been shut down as it's good Sega site.

That's too bad, moss.
Well the forum works for me, but not the site. There's probably a thread about it.

Finished Outer Worlds...More Fallout 1 than New Vegas which is fine. It's a fun game, but I wish the combat was a bit deeper. Maybe I miss VATS.

Is the MOTHER 4 fangame ever going to come out at this point? I honestly stopped caring but every now and then there's news of people working on it.

Finished Pokemon Sword. And thus having 100% completion on my Switch library for now.
It was Ok. My standards for Pokemon aren't particularly high to begin with, tho. To me these games are cozy comfort food 6/10 to 7/10 games. I don't care about side activities outside of the dress-up of your character. I loved it when Black/White only gave you new Pokemon instead of dragging you down by havin all thousand in the main campaign, and since then decided to only catch the actual new stuff in following games. I really just want to imprison new cute things and make them cock fight against other peoples cute critters until the credits roll. Thus everything that's so controvers about Sword/Shield mostly I don't mind. It does have a noticable lack of DILFs compared to Sun/Moon tho.
But yeah, it was a decent romp.

Yes and no: Due to legal concerns it's not called Mother 4 anymore but "Coming Soon" instead (which is clearly not the most confusing name ever). Any direct ties to the Mother series will be removed/altered too. Not sure whether it'll still be free or not. If I were them I'd probably try to charge some money for it, tbh.

Totally forgot, I also finished Resident Evil Revelations 2 still at the tail end of 2019. Was pretty good. I do like the episodic format with two campaigns each, since it makes for good cuts if you prefer to play in smaller packages like me. Hated the Moira DLC episode and didn't try Natalias, but the main game was really enjoyable.

Pokken Tournament- Doing alright in the main mode, but some of the daily challenges are giving me so much trouble.
