Okay... I am so far behind on games in general. Who can tell me about the following titles and how good they are?
ICO
Sonic Adventure 2 (preferably the Gamecube version)
Eternal Darkness
Any SSX game besides the first one
Maximo: Army of Zin
Devil May Cry 2 and 3 (I've heard the special edition of the latter is miles better than the original)
Onimusha (anything about the series... yes, I am so freakin' far behind)
Any Tenchu game besides the first
Manhunt
Dynasty Warriors 4 and 5 (isn't there a special edition of 4?)
Samurai Warriors 1 and 2
That's quite a bit... I'll letcha know if I think of anything else.

ICO and Eternal Darkness are must haves IMO, you can probably live without the rest.

ICO -A must have, even though your the rare person that does not like it, you can easily sell it for megabucks in a couple of years.
Sonic Adventure 2: Haven't played it, but I've heard it's an improvement on the original, so if you like that one, you'll love the sequel.
Eternal Darkness: I myself want that game so badly I'm almost going to fork out the money for a Game cube for it (waiting for wii instead though)
Any SSX game besides the first one: Can't go wrong with SSX, although personally I would not put it on a must-have list.
Maximo: Army of Zin: Yet to try it out myself, but looks interesting enough. You should be able to get it cheap if you find it that is.
Devil May Cry 2 and 3: Avoid nr 2, unless your a compleetist and find it going for like 2 bucks or something. Number 3 is decent but I wouldn't fork out much for it either.
Onimusha: Great games but not must haves. I've borrowed the first three, finished them and for me that was enough.
Any Tenchu game besides the first: They all range from good to decent, can't really go wrong with them but not not a must have (unless your a ninja-fanatic like me)
Manhunt: An underrated classic. I love how hard it is.
Dynasty Warriors 4 and 5 (isn't there a special edition of 4?): Can't help you there as I myself gave yet to get into the series. Any info would be appreciated.
Samurai Warriors 1 and 2: None-estinal imo, but fun none the less.

Yes, play ED I've said that like 4 times in the Survival Horror thread.
Manhunt is a funny game..it needs to be played in a certain mood and it kind of doesn't get really interesting until you start getting the guns. Shoot outs in the asylum are great.
I'd say don't touch DMC2 but feel free to play DMC3:SE..DMC3 is hard and that's a bit of putting because to me it feels more challenging because they make you repeat the same thing over and over again.
If you've never played a Sonic Adventure then I'd suggest DX for Gamecube rather then 2 because SA1 is a bit more fun solo player. Though I personally played 2 a solid few weeks it can get annoying...MAD SPACE!?!?...it is however a good game regardless.
With Dynasty Warrior I think you mean Extreme Legends which is like an *expansion pack* skip 4 and go straight to 5, 4 is kind of like a messed up 3 but 5 is it all fixed up and shiney again.

Maximo: Army of Zin Devil May Cry 2 and 3 (I've heard the special edition of the latter is miles better than the original) Onimusha (anything about the series... yes, I am so freakin' far behind) Any Tenchu game besides the first Maximo: Army of Zin is a great action-platform game. Good level design, very challenging, nice humor. Capcom quality as we love. DMC2 is trash but DMC3 is the best action game ever created (in my opinion). THE best battle system you will see in an action game. So deep, so unique, so rewarding, so many levels above anything else. The bosses are amazing, The all atmosphere is nice, lots of secrets and secret missions, TONS of replay value (I finish it in normal on 17 hours and now I have 40 hours and I didn't even played at all the diffucult modes). The SE version is of course better (and you can't get the original version anyway) and it's only 20$. You won't find better deal than that. Onimusha Is a great action-adventure series. Again Capcom quality (don't you just love them?), very nice battle system, great art design and samurais atmosphere, nice adventure and RPG elements, and you have this unique feeling of "Survivng in Japan" which I preffer over "Surviving in Raccoon City" Tenchu 3 is my faovirte stealth game. It's like thief but in third person view (which is SO much better) with ninja coolness and generally just better. All those are great games, I recommend them all (if you don't want to play all the Onimusha series, go right to Onimusha 4)

Onimusha is a great series, however if you were only going to play one of the games, I have to say that Onimusha 3 is the best.
Tenchu DS is...not good. Don't bother. Any other Tenchu game I can't say because I've never played any of them in the series.
SSX is an amazing snowboarding game, but again if you'd have to pick on, take either SSX3 or SSX On Tour. If you have the GCN version of On Tour, you can play as Mario snowboarding which is all kinds of bizarre to watch.
Never played the cube version but what I remember of Sonic Adventure 2 for the DC was that the Shadow and Sonic stages were breathtaking and all too short, the Robotnik and Tails stages were decent shooters, and the Knuckles and Rouge stages were THE FUCKING WORST THINGS TO HAPPEN IN A SONIC GAME. I remember spending 15 minutes trying to find a gem in one of Rouge's stages and it was mindbogglingly awful.
Maximo; if a fan of GnG, get

Which version of Onimusha do you guys recommend. I've been thinking about getting into the series, too, but I want to know to get either the PS2 or Xbox version.

Well the X-Box version is an updated version, so if you find both versions for almost the same price go for the X-Box version.

Genma Onimusha is more challenging than Onimusha for PS2, so if you want a great challenge pick up the Xbox game. Also if I remember correctly it actually has analog controller instead making it that much easier to move (you had to move with the dpad on the PS2 for 1 and 2)

If your into ancient roman games then pick up Shadow of Rome. It has the most intense and gory battle scenes ever in videogames. Well, RE4 is pretty damn intense but its not as gory. Shadow of Rome makes use of the Onimusha 3 engine. The newest Onimusha Dawn of Dreams has much more of an RPG emphasis but still has some incredible action and puzzles. I personally love all the Onimusha games and would recommend to just start from the beginning.
If your going to pick up ICO which is well worth a playthrough then get the European version. It has more extras not found in the USA version. It also has a 50/60 selector so you can play it on your NTSC television if thats how you roll.

If you like action/adventure You need to get onimusha, The only thing is is the first to still use clunky RE Controls.
DMC3 Special edition is the best, And dont buy DMC2 unless it's only 5$ Samurai Warriors AND Dynasty warriors are both worth it for mindless beatemups (Which Are the best)

Resident Evil isn't CLUNKY! it's totally deliberate to make the game more terrifiying! Seconding Shadow of Rome, best instinct purchase for me since Advent Rising.

Now Advent Rising was a good game even thought every one in the world bashed it. I need to get Gemen Onimusha its $6.99 at gamestop, and I kind of wanna try out Onimusha Tactics.

I hate the water puzzle in Genma onimusha, so much I traded the game in.
I also think POP Sands of time is ass.
