1. Punctuation is your friend. I took the liberty and edited question marks into your post. please don't do that Then do it yourself. This is not Twitter, nor a chatroom.

I didn't know this place was popular enough to have beef with. Course it is with another site I've never heard of. Those guys in that thread whining about the article quality here are ridiculous. From my understanding this is a free forum to write and catalog the history of gaming. So what if some of the articles are outdated? No one is being paid for to write them and there are still a lot of quality articles on site.
Don't remember what internet rabbit hole first lead me here (07ish?), but I remember reading stuff here for days. Starting with JRPG articles (Pat!) but eventually working my way onto all sorts of stuff. Would not of discovered Ys when I did without this site. Which eventually lead to even more gaming discoveries.

Then do it yourself. This is not Twitter, nor a chatroom. There is literally no rule pertaining to the usage of grammar on this forum

I believe there is a rule about being a jerk, though, and honestly of all the battles you could be fighting, this is the least advisable.

How is not using proper punctuation being a jerk? Most of my posts are done from a phone which generally aren't ideal interfaces.

It's being jerk because text without punctuation is irritating to read. Even on a phone, that's two extra button presses per sentence. Don't be so darned lazy.

Perhaps you should post from a more "ideal interface", then – one which will allow you to express your thoughts with greater clarity, so that others need not struggle to grasp your meaning.

The other day I had some ground beef, so I chopped up some fresh garlic, minced some onion, grabbed some pepper and some seasoned salt, and I got a chunk of breakfast sausage that was around half the size of the beef, and then I mixed all of that shit up into a patty, I grilled it, put it on a bun with some munster cheese on top, and I took a bite and I nearly died from swift orgasms. Muenster? Come on, man, you have to manage the Burger Rank System better than that. Swiss makes it easier to 1CC your burger. And the breakfast sausage? That's a poor strategy for extends. Muenster and colby jack are the lords of cheeses and are always the first preference for sandwich/burger toppings. I do not apologize about my coagulated breast milk tastes.

Uh, back on topic...
Pleh, everyone's a critic. Someone finds a typo on a free, amateur, website and they think they're God's gift to writing.
It's not as simple as it seems to thoroughly and accurately communicate what makes a game "tick" without being long-winded, but it's really easy to think you can do better. I'll listen to the forum complainers who proclaim they have The Answer once they've shown they can consistently pull it off.
Kudos to HG 101, I say!

I hate how games have to be "hard" nowadays to be fun. Like somehow everyone forgot that Kirby was a thing.
Seriously, who says fun and hard are mutually inclusive?

No one, but arcade games are generally petty difficult by definition.

No. Well not that I'm aware of anyway. In my experience, every other hardcore/retro gaming forum on the internet has a beef with hg101, while hg101 in turn gives grand total of zero fucks. We are like that guy that drinks whiskey straight out of the bottle on a public bus; everyone else whispers and gossips, but we just don't care. This is how I think of us. It's kind of why it's the only forums I frequent. Probably because we're all pretty laid back. And there really isn't the hive mind that a lot of other forums have. EDIT: Having read the thread, I can see that they're biggest issue (my interpretation) is that either we have too much of shift in quality because of the various writers. Or we are a bunch of a stuck up dickheads who won't fix our mistakes. Oh and all the same we're really dumb for using the name Hardcore. Which I'm aware is what Kurt said.
