www.hatredgame.com/steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=356532461Description from Wikipedia ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatred_%28video_game%29#cite_note-GabeApology-10 ): Ιt's not surprise to see a game like that getting many negative reactions (personally I don't mind this game). But to see Epic Games requesting for Unreal Engines logo removal from the game's trailer? Talking about huge hypocricy. Epic Games. The same company which made many mature games and allowed mature games from other games to use their engine and logo. It's ok to make a game really violent as long as you don't kill innocent people? If it was a family-friendly company like Nintendo it would be understandable. But a company famous for their very violent FPSs? Seriously?

I'm going to play this eventually, but Postal did this back in 1997. Just less grimdark.
Also I thought it was a non-issue, and it was re-listed?

Not even going into the game itself, which at the very best is trying way too hard... I don't see this being all that great, gameplay wise. I dunno. Supposedly, the developers are doing this because there's been too many sci-fi shooters and such that are too "clean", but I don't see it. We've been getting some really dark stuff as of late, like, say, Spec Ops, so I'm not sure where they're going with that.

It's a game made by open racists and is gathering a fanbase of lunatics begging for the ability to make custom NPCs so they can live out their murder fantasies.
I wouldn't want my company name attached to shit like this. It's not just violence that's the problem here, it's the incredibly disgusting beliefs of the devs that will most likely make their way into the final product. For fuck sake, there's already people wanting to use open modding for it to live out school shooting fantasies.
Garbage people making it, garbage people who like it. This is not a game to waste any energy defending the right to exist.

Sigh, pretty disgusting stuff. "Hatred" is a genocide simulator developed by Neo-NazisAccording to the link above, the team is a bunch of Polish rednecks, or whatever the local equivalent is. Some of them are supposed to be Polish Neo-Nazis. Isn't that a contradiction or something?

Political implications aside,it's very appalling how the "controversy over gameplay" formula still works...I remember getting bored by Postal and Carmageddon back then as soon as the novelty worn off even though they were wildly popular. I'm fine with ultraviolence as long as you program a playable and entertaining videogame around it, mind you: Soldier Of Fortune is one of my favorite FPS,for example. And the developer interviewed needs a sock in his mouth - pretty sure he thinks he's "oh,so edgy!" when he actually comes off as a whiny manchild who still listens to Slipknot.

sjws are denying me my right to play games again?! Maybe they'll be ok with it if there's a "control scheme for girls" like Cap'm Sarkeesian is suggesting for Mirror's Edge 2. And yet those people can code, but I can't... -.- 'Least you don't listen to Slipknot. I can give the developers a pass because Poland is probably just getting their music but you don't have that excuse.

It's funny to see people talking about "controvery over gameplay" for a game that hasn't showed any detailed gameplay trailer yet. Also it's ironic to hear that when at the same time many indie games with dull gameplay are praised because of their creators' SJW agenda.
Putting aside the political agenda of some of the creators (and not the whole development team) I didn't see any racism hints on the trailer. The creator of Earthworm Jim and The Neverhood, Doug TenNapel, was also accused for his public, homophobic messages but I haven't seen many people hating his games because of that.

And to think I once came up with a character many years ago who was sort of similar in concept... except he was nowhere near this dark and was extremely silly, killing people in comical and utterly unrealistic ways.
That said, this kind of makes me feel glad I never took it to this level of nastiness.

What is it with gaming crowds nowadays and ignoring the political status of racists and nazis among them? ...weren't nazis and racists a bad thing? Like, people we should never support, ever, cause the holocaust and slavery and so forth? When did we reach a point where "they're literal nazis/racists" was somehow not the end of an argument on why someone is a terrible person? They're fucking racists. Why would you even think of giving money to racists making a murder simulator that came from the head of a 12-year-old nu-metalhead? Why would anyone bother defending this game? There's no answer to this that doesn't paint someone as awful in my mind.

Meh. I looked at it, and it's not really the kind of thing I want to play. Beyond that, I find myself not caring.

My guess would be that they see it as a "Zero-Sum" situation where coming out against these people means empowering the Sarkeesians of the world to control what can and can't be produced.
