Yo blackoak, will you take submissions (not votes, but additions to the Patreon list) for archived interviews I've found online? Just curious, as they weren't on print to begin with.

Definitely! Just PM or email them to me, and I'll add them to the list. I actually spend a good amount of time doing that kind of research, but obviously I can't find everything...
When I compiled this list last year, I did my best to ensure that all the interviews there had never been translated before. It literally took months to get that thing together, because I did need to check that for nearly every interview...
As for non-commissioned requests, I really created the patreon and monthly voting process to handle those, but if you have something especially interesting I might put it on my more immediate queue! In either event, if you have something not on this list, please send it to me so I can add it, and it can be voted on.

Even if I may be the only one, I choose this Columns - Developer Interview Cosmic Fantasy - Developer Interview <--- My N-word. Just to give some context for everyone, Kazuhiro Ochi is an animator that among other things worked on a ton of Super Robot and Dynamic Pro-related shows; in the early 90s he developed the Cosmic Fantasy series of RPGs (only the second one made it over here via Working Designs). They're sort of notable in that he managed to sneak a bunch of nudity and fanservice into the games, but mainly that he was very personally involved in developing them despite not being part of the development team. He's a very chill guy overall, and I think it would be interesting to learn more about him. BELIEVE IT. Definitely! Just PM or email them to me, and I'll add them to the list. I actually spend a good amount of time doing that kind of research, but obviously I can't find everything... I've got to look through my stuff but I'm fairly certain the Namco books I've got have some interviews that weren't on the list, I can send you a PM when I check/list them. You have any requirements for scanned images? Also I need to sign up for the Patreon, I'd been holding off because I'd misheard about privacy settings.

Nope, just that it be large and clear enough to be legible. Flatbed scans are great but phone cameras etc can work too. 1 day left! I'll be tallying everything up at 7PM tomorrow night (PST). To help with any decisions, here are some comments on some of the interviews that have been selected so far (i dont have all my materials at hand, so ill comment on the others later tonight). Cosmic Fantasy - short, lightweight, worth a quick read Custom Robo - midlength, info about characters, design, origins, etc Shining Force 1991 - midlength, lots of comparisons with Shining in the Darkness, probably not the Shining Force extravaganza you're hoping for but still worth a read. a little promotional in nature since the interviews are pre-release sakaguchi x inafune (2006) - medium-long, very cool, each talks about their respective projects sonic 2 - shortish, but interesting art of fighting - pretty short, mostly character design info clover studio corp - medium length, little about okami, little about the company in general columns - pretty cool remarks about the game design, but short phantasy star iv - mid-length, nice interview. design, comparisons with psii/iii... looking forward to doing this one eventually. Hideo Kojima x Keiji Inafune 2000; 2004 - lengthy, lots of metal gear and rockman talk Hideo Kojima (Konami) 2002 - very long, lots of content--from his early days to recent projects, musings about game design etc Super Smash Bro. - Developer Interview 1999 and Super Smash Bros. Melee - Developer Interview 2001 - both these are medium length, and have interesting info. would probably do both in one go Fatal Fury Special - Developer Interview - mid length, character/difficulty/design info burning rangers - midlength, character/design info, the usual stuff yack - midlength, lots of info about his writing process Also, the Etrian Odyssey interview has been translated here: xcomp.wordpress.com/2006/07/08/sekaiju-no-meikyuu-interview-with-director-kazuya-niino-ds/Its a good one too, too bad! I knew there'd be some I missed...

As luck/fate would have it, this was just chosen this month by one of the 15.00/month patrons, who used his quarterly voucher on it. Look for it later this month, and please choose another interview(s)! Looking forward to it so much. I edited a new vote into my original post in this thread

Since the Etrian Odyssey interview has already been translated, I'll change the vote I used for that interview to the following:
Kazuma Kaneko Developer Interview

Damn, nearly let this opportunity slip by. I'll pick the Justice For All interview with Shu Takumi first. I really want to know how much he says about the game being rushed, as I heard there was planned to be a fifth case but was junked for time. It would explain why JFA is generally considered to be one of the overall weaker installments.
And since 19XX is my favorite game of that series, I'll put my second vote towards the interview of that. We don't learn about the development processes of shmups nearly enough.

ok, here's the rundown on the other interviews you guys have (tentatively) voted for. Also, no need to make a new post when you change your vote--you can just edit the original post, probably easier for me to tally up that way.
Sega Falcom - decent length, but definitely an industry-focused interview. talks a lot about the difference between sega and falcom's approach to development, all pretty top-level stuff about their process. you won't find specific info about their games here, tho
Tomba 2 - short, but good comments on the game design
hitoshi ariga (action gameside) - a lot about the Rockman Megamix manga he did, and some general illustration talk (and rockman and forte)
ADK ninja games - short, but really funny. ill definitely do this one at some point
Father of the Famicom (masayuki uemura) - pretty short, but dense. probably not brand new info (the origins of the famicom are well-known) but a cool read nonetheless.
Konami and the gameboy - these are from the DS-3 scans I was supposed to finish a long time ago (sorry!). they're very short though.
Mother 2 - not that long (shorter than the Mother interview with Itoi) but some neat insights.
Gradius II & III composer interviews - midlength, from a Gamest issue.
Dragon Quest vs. Dragon Slayer - not too long, but fun to hear Horii and Kiya talk about DQ3 and Sorcerian.
19xx developer diary and composer comments - pretty lengthy, these are from the 19xx ost. I especially like the song-by-song commentary, and the diary is fun.
nintendo 64 round table - not super long, mainly a run-through of certain N64 software, with some talk about the 64DD, some industry talk.
Finally, don't hesitate to pick a short interview. If short ones get picked, I'll just do more than 2, and translate the next highest interview(s) too. thanks, and be sure to get everything in by 7pm pst tomorrow!

Given the wonderful (!) fact that the Mega Man X one's getting translated anyway, I'll use both votes for Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap - Developer Interview.

What is in the Chibi-Robo article? I am curious to learn more about the Bandai version of the game. Playstation Concept (1994) sounds interesting. Shigeru Miyamoto x Yuji Naka with the subject being Mario 64? Is this as interesting as it sounds?
Of other voted ones: Sonic 2, anything Inafune and throw in a side of Smash Bros. Thank you in advance for translating!
