Hi-five, bugman.
And thanks a lot for doing this, blackoak. Very nice of you to take on a third translation from the tie.

I really appreciate all this material getting translated. It's like a video game historian treasure trove. Thanks a lot. When my grasp on the Japanese language reaches a sufficient level, I would like to do the same type of translations.

As others have said, it's super awesome of you to translate these interviews! Thanks a ton for that. I'm also super happy that TWO of my favourite games ever, Mega Man X and Minish Cap, will be covered

Drat, one vote! Still, looks like there's some good interviews that were picked (and there's always Patreon).
Once again, thanks for reaching out to the HG101 forum on this one, blackoak, and thanks for all the other translations that you've been doing!

That was fun! I'm excited for more info on Gimmick! coming from Kageyama, and Kiya vs. Horii will be interesting. Thank you for the generosity, Blackoak! I've nothing but unabated praise for Shmuplations and related translation work.

I had no idea about these translations! I read a few of them and they were all very interesting and insightful. It's really awesome that you're doing this, blackoak.
I didn't vote, but thanks anyway for giving HG101 this opportunity.

thanks for your kind words everyone! i've actually finished all the translations now, and will be uploading them by next week. I did a little bit extra too, because the Minish Cap and Gimmick interviews ended up being shorter than I expected. Actually, everything chosen was pretty short, so I did a few more (a surprise). For now, enjoy this Mega Man X Developer Diary that a couple people asked for: shmuplations.com/megamanx

alright, the day has come! Because the selected interviews were all a little shorter than I expected, I also did the next two on the list (Cosmic Fantasy and Ace Attorney - Justice for All). My favorite is probably the Justice for All interviews (also happens to be the longest). Well then, without further ado... Dragon Quest vs. Dragon Slayer - 1987 Developer InterviewGimmick! - 2011 Composer InterviewMinish Cap - 2004 Developer InterviewCosmic Fantasy - 1992 Developer InterviewJustice for All - 2002 Developer Interviews
Thanks again to everyone who participated! I really wanted to start this campaign off with hg101, because it's been such a helpful community to me: Kurt, other individual editors/contributors, and just the resource as a whole. And as I said, I'll be making the rounds at other forums over the next several months, so you might get another chance. And now for my obligatory spiel: if you enjoyed this process, and would like to vote on interviews every month (and support my work and game history generally), please consider becoming a patron! I really can't sustain this level of work without the Patreon support, so it means a lot!

Also congrats on the Kotaku mention! I hope this means a lot of exposure for shmuplations/your patreon, you deserve it!
