Even christianity created monster girls, (werewolves, Succubus, Incubus, sexy demons) I mean the italian depiction of holy and unholy angels or devils, it seems hardcore. Especially, european/american painters sexualized every kind of human/animal/monster hybrid in the last few centuries. Care to elaborate about that? I'm Italian myself but don't remember seeing anything of the sort (sexy angels and devils), unless you refer to the work of artists like Milo Manara and such. And yes, that whole "Japan is weird LOL" is not as effective as it once was. Still though, you have to admit that drawing a book of dictators as moe girls in incredibly fucked up. That, of course, doesn't reflect on Japan as a whole; I'm sure you can find American-drawn cartoon on the Internet that's just as bad. Still, it makes you wonder what the fuck is up with some people. These are modern-era dictators responsible for absurd amounts of death and suffering.

People were afraid of Hitler, but Chaplin started to make fun about Hitler and succeded at. The same thing can be applied in war history. People were afraid of german army and they make fun about them, made for example "funny" rumours for example, germans like "Sauerkraut", thus they got the name "crouds", or the rumour about british people. British people have weird teeth and are clean freaks. The same thing about America. People make fun of Americas situation about immigrants, because of the american indian tribes history etc. These kind of jokes were you make fun of terrible people is typical for humanity. If you can't kill it, make fun about it and devalue the reputation. It helps to take the threat and to stabilize the folks of your country, but the world changed. We don't have classic wars. We have only globalisation and the resulting economy wars, which only some people understand who knows terms like brain drain and similar stuff. Due to the fact that we don't have classic wars and with the fast developing technologies, it is pretty normal that people are bored and are trying to break boundaries in different departments (at economy, art, TV shows, philosophy, culture). We don't try to survive. We try to live and to find your own picture of salvation. One of the biggest differences is that paint art and creative art have not developed new, 100 % unqiue genres, since years. Instead we are mixing everything. That would be one logical output with todays creative direction, because we lack of new unique genre. Especially, since globalisation takes a very important role in our todays life. Thus we have stories about Nazis, which are trying to summon devils or books were guys from agyptian mythology are fighting against creatures from nordic mythologies and many more. Japan is a special case regarding history and from a geographic point of view. Thus Japans art direction have different stages, but with the new and fast developing technologies, it makes the situation faster weird and we see "stuff" in short periods. Thus I think moe girls as dictators is pretty normal for our time and situation. Japan has a special history in that. They make Nobunaga Oda into a girl in various "Sengoku games". The vita game "Sengoku Hime" is famous for that part. We have also seen this with Columbus, Mangellan, Da Gama and many more. You have mentioned this, but american cartoons are also doing that. We are living in a pretty unique time with globalisation, art fusion etc.. I hope the point is clear. I kinda need much time to get to the actual point. I am sorry for that. Since the board is very sensitive about certain topics/things. I want to clarify that I have a neutral point on this situation. I don't agree with many things, but I respect it. Yours sincerely Jack Caeylin

That's a possibility, for sure, but one thing I've learned in recent years is that a lot of stuff people assume is ironic or satirical really isn't; we tend to want to believe it is because it's easier to accept.
