Fair enough in regards to Max, which I don't really know much beyond its gimmick.
But a lot of games feel like they shoehorn Shirobom into games he doesn't quite fit, sometimes counterproductively trying to justify his inclusion (eg, Pocket Bomberman)
I think it says something that people don't generally know that B-Daman started as a Bomberman spin-off.

Pocket Bomberman was quite different from other Bomberman games since it was side scrolling platform game. But still it has the Bomberman feeling with throwing bombs and such.
But I'll admit it: I didn't knew that B-Daman (Hasbro released a F2P B-Daman game for smartphones) began as Bomberman spi-off.

I'm really surprised people are saying Bomberman isn't a good singpleplayer experience. I honestly prefer the Bomberman singleplaye. But yeah, just to echo sentiments here. Super Bomberman 2-5 are one of the best places to start. Saturn Bomberman is also really fantastic.

Personally the only single player Bomberman I find boring is the original for NES and Super Bomberman 1.

Personally the only single player Bomberman I find boring is the original for NES and Super Bomberman 1. The one for the NES was the third one but yeah. Past a certain point they all become pretty darn fun. They really nail the aesthetic around Super Bomberman too.

NSFW I'm too old to find vulgarity in itself amusing, but "I'm so fucking proud of I could just shit!" is so nonsensically stupid. And, y'know, the audacity of having a kid-safe character spout verbal garbage. It was too early for South Park notoriety. I wonder what the story behind them is. This was that weird era of Interplay where they were really pushing hard on their mature games, like Redneck Rampage and Die By The Sword, both of which had optional "Cuss Pack" addons that enabled some seriously foul language. It could be that they just wanted in on the 90s trend of "edgier" stuff. Or maybe Billy West had some pent-up anger issues.
