Hmmm... This one is kind of a stretch, but I just beat The Maze of Galious for the first time, and realized that it kiiiiiiinda counts, since you can choose to play as either Popolon or Aphrodite at any time, and you're setting out to rescue your male son. So if you primarily choose to play as Aphrodite (which is viable, since the two characters do have some differences in the way they control), then I'd say the game does qualify as reverse damsel-in-distress.

It's a newer one, but 'Iji' by daniel remar features a cybernetic heroine who fights to rescue her nerdy brother. By the end it's not really a reverse save-the-princess deal, but it's certainly there in the beginning.

Hmmm again... Come to think of it, there's a pretty obvious one I've been missing here (obvious for me, anyway, considering my obsession with this series!): PopoloCrois II. While the whole game certainly isn't reverse damsel-in-distress (and, in fact, there is a classic non-reverse damsel-in-distress moment within it), it does contain one rather lengthy chapter in which Prince Pietro is unconscious and slipping away, and players take direct control of the forest witch Narcia in a quest to save him. This actually isn't unusual from a story perspective, as there are numerous moments throughout the series where Pietro is saved by Narcia (the upcoming Return to PopoloCrois has one of those, for example), but it is the only time in the series where you're not directly controlling either Prince Pietro or Prince Pinon -- in all other instances where Narcia saves Pietro, it happens entirely in story cutscenes. PopoloCrois II's segment where players actually take on the role of Narcia directly (for quite a few hours, in fact) is pretty unique in that respect, and very definitely qualifies as a reverse damsel-in-distress moment for the series.
It's not much, but hey, it's something!

The Genesis version of Snow Bros. has this: after you beat the normal 50 floors, the main characters get kidnapped and the princesses they saved then go to their rescue, for another 20 floors exclusive to this version. The gameplay is exactly the same, but it's a nice funny touch.

Spelunky allows you to choose the "damsel" between male, female, or pug.
