To play devil's advocate, there was finally a scene at the end where they weren't fighting each other and/or totally looking like villains. But that's it. The CGI looks like shit. Doomsday/Zod looks like a turd monster with a scrotum chin. Lex Luthor looks/acts like he's got scoliosis and hasn't shit in ten years. It will be awful, but I actually like Luthor here because you can just taste all the disdain that Jesse has for this entire production. I can't wait for all the clips of him just being a giant ham and shitting on the entire film.

Neo Rasa All very good points. Hard to argue them. Except Blade. I didn't like that one at all. But, now more than ever is the time for an egotistical tycoon Lex Luthor to parallel the current rise of Donald Trump.

At least we know that Judd Hirsch is still around.
Hinestly, it doesn't look bad. But it's still Roland Emmerich.

I have never seen a Friday the 13th movie in my life.
Courtesy of my library I should be remedying that soon, at least for the first two.

The first two are great horror movies. 2 is probably my favorite of the bunch. My favorite Jason at least. 3 is cheesy as hell, especially if you can get the 3-d version, but still really fun to watch. It's my wife's go-to horror movie so I've seen it many, many times and it never gets old. 4 is just really good. Some of Jason's best kills plus Corey Feldman and Crispin Glover. Sadly, it's a steep decline in quality after that one. 5-10 can offer a few laughs here and there, but don't really warrant too many viewings if your not a big fan of the character and genre. They are better than the later Nightmare on Elm Streets or Halloweens though.

Let's see how many movies you can spot within this one... Wow, that almost looks like an Asylum movie with a much bigger budget. Basically it's an alien invasion movie crossed with a disaster movie crossed with Invasion of the Body Snatchers crossed with The Hunger Games. And of course it's based on an YA novel, The Hunger Games is alright I guess but I really hate all those Hunger Games ripoffs like Maze Runner, Divergent etc, blech.

Somehow it feels more cheap and lascivious than in the originals. Might just be old age talking, though.

No, I agree, it had more nudity than the original films, but the in your face nature of the nudity was the only thing that was entertaining, it certainly wasn't the thrills and kills, which were less imaginative and in your face than the original films. I guess the director could either choose between graphic nudity or graphic gore, he couldn't have both without an NC-17 rating, so he went with the T&A.
