I'm guessing Smash Bros is the big ticket game for this year and Metroid Prime 4 isn't coming this year.
I'm glad Captain Toad is coming to the Switch.

I haven't watched the video yet, but am I to understand that there's no news on the new Fire Emblem yet? That was announced to be coming in 2018. I wonder if Nintendo will do another Fire Emblem Direct at a later date?

Nothing on FE this time. They didn't have a single word on Yoshi either, strangely enough.

So, they seemed to have announced what I can only presume is a compilation of all the WarioWare games for the 3DS, I think:

Smash on Switch is definitely good news. They can use a lot of Wii U assets for the game, so hopefully we won't have to wait overly long for it!
I'm somewhat astounded that Luigi's Mansion is getting a 3DS remake... the sequel is already on the 3DS, and it's like a billion times better than the original game. The original Luigi's Mansion was a neat concept, but it was super thin on content. Here's hoping the remake improves things a lot, because Luigi's Mansion on the Gamecube was kiiiiiind of boring.

It was nice to see Splatoon get a fuller single player as I'm pretty burned out on the multiplayer. The animal friends coming back to Kirby was pretty heartwarming and so quickly too!

Is it just me or is it Kinda weird that Warioware gold is 3DS only just seems it be a better idea to be on switch as well after all it look and play identical on both systems.Though im glad to see the series is still alive and it dint turn into some free to play mobile trash like most thought the series would. Which is ironic because that series pretty much predicted the Mobile gaming scene anyway. Though they make Captain toad have both a 3DS and Switch version at once. Also why Remake Mario and Luigi 3 on a system that can play the DS original anyway and why they skip 2?

Not going to lie. When I saw the "Praise the Sun" title, I was hoping there'd be something related to the Golden Sun games in there too.

It's a bit of a missed opportunity that you can't use the Solaire amiibo to... actually summon Solaire on demand. You know, if there are no other summon signs nearby and you need help.

Luigi’s Mansion was unexpected, but perhaps it’s conventient/cheap to get one more use out of the Dark Moon engine or something... It would’ve been cool if they had announced something else from the Gamecube instead, like Eternal Darkness 3D!
I also wonder when someone is gonna start talking about Dragon Quest XI? Both Nintendo and Sony are really quiet... Maybe E3? Someone has to go first. Or maybe SquareEnix is publishing this time? Can’t remember how it goes these days...

I wish it had been a Switch port of Dark Moon instead, a port of the first game to the 3DS instead seems totally ass backward to me.
And not to step on any 3DS fans' toes, but why not let it die? I thought the whole point of the Switch is to combine Nintendo's handheld and console divisions, not to mention the 3DS is several years old at this point, the original DS was exactly 7 years old when the 3DS was introduced, so that seems like a good enough run to retire after.
I mean there's no real point in dedicated handhelds anymore, if you need to kill say 5 minutes a smartphone is all you need and if you have more time to kill the ability to play console games on the go with the Switch has more appeal, which I thought was the entire point of the Switch, to get ahead of smartphones, so why a year later still support the 3DS?
Just don't understand this thought process at all.
