I claim Rise of the tomb Raider, Xbox 360, first time playthrough. I guesstimate it took about 20 hours (why didn't the game keep track? Ugh).

Well, I finished Into the Breach (Switch) today, though it feels like a little bit of a cheat. I was getting discouraged with all the defeated attempts, so I tried one run on Easy... and finished it. I'll continue to play again on Normal to try for a more satisfying victory, but that does meet the criteria of this thread.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village (DS, replay) - 9 hours, 8 minutes - 3/5
Wanted to revisit this before giving some of the later games (particularly the Phoenix Wright crossover) a go. It's still pretty solid but nothing about it other than the puzzles draws me in. Not sure how much of that was because I was revisiting this and had a general idea of the story or otherwise.
Will give the series at least one more go.

Claiming Vice: Project Doom (NES), first time. Best NES side-scroller I've played, leagues ahead of overrated crap like Ninja Gaiden. It has the most responsive controls I've ever seen in a NES game, making combat a lot of fun, and the crouch run is a great, very underrated move. There are other games that let you crouch walk, like Shinobi, but they make you go slower - in Vice you can duck and move at full speed, so enemies shooting at you at head height don't slow you down at all.
Unfortunately there are too many spots later on where shit just knocks you down into holes and kills you instantly. It's not nearly as trolly as Ninja Gaiden, but it still beings it down a notch. Otherwise it'd be an all-time great.

Assault Suit Leynos (PS4) - First playthrough, Time: no idea (HLTB Completionist?) A remake of a Mega Drive game also known as Target Earth. I wanted to like this one a lot more than I did, but unfortunately it feels held back by the floaty, cumbersome controls and the short levels of the original game. The games just ends when you finally start to get a feel for it and have fun. Better controls and a longer, more robust campaign would've done wonders. Played through Arcade mode multiple times and Classic mode once, unlocked the Platinum trophy (which was very annoying) and reached Rank 43 within the game. Rating: 3/5 Alphabet Challenge: ABC---------MNO---S------- Pics:

I remember having good results with the jet and electrified smoke, so much of this game is random that it's inevitable that luck plays a large role.

Rush 'n Attack, NES (replay, approx. 40 min.)
It takes a while to get into a rhythm. 1 player is brutal since you never continue off where you die, you get sent some steps back. 2 player is more fun, but if your partner is no good, you'll run out of lives quick. And it's so easy to die as a one hit wonder; what kind of green beret dies from touching some foot soldier on a leisurely jog? Early Konami fair, with great music and tight controls. Only 6 levels, but challenging enough with what they throw at you. Luckily, even a knife is enough to take out men in flying jet packs and helicopters.
6/10.

Maybe I should just use them again on Normal. I unlocked a weird team that does self-damage a lot, which probably won't last much longer on the current run

Kid Niki: Radical Ninja, NES (1st time, approx. 1 hour)
After many, many years, I finally got back to playing and beating this game. I only rented it once, long ago, and just couldn't get past the last boss before having to return the bloody thing. There's a primitive charm to the graphics, and luckily all enemies die within one spin of your blade. The game would be pretty easy, if you weren't such a one-hit death wonder. There's only one BGM to listen to through most of the game, besides the boss fight and victory jingle.
5/10

I finished another game yesterday: Grapple Force Rena (Linux). A solid 8/10 from me; it has an enjoyable primary grapple mechanic, and the levels are generally well designed and varied.
EDIT: This was, indeed, a first playthrough.

Puzzler World (Windows, first playthrough) - 52 hours, 30 minutess - 3/5
Been chipping away at this in small chunks while doing other things like listening to music since January. Finally finished every single puzzle.
If you like puzzles there's an absolutely massive amount of content to be found here for a game that frequently dips below $1 in sales. Sure certain puzzles might not be up your alley but even still this is a pretty great value as long as you don't completely hate any of the puzzles offered here. I have Puzzler World 2 installed and ready to work on bit by bit in the future as well.

Cleared Agartha for Windows in 3 hours. First time. It's a charming ultra pixelated puzzle-platformer where the main challenge is figuring out how to successfully navigate or dig through each stage using a variety of characters with limited resources. 7/10.

Sorry for the double post, but does clearing individual games in a compilation count as a game clear i.e. Crash Bandicoot 1 in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy?

If we're even counting expansions and episodes as separate entries, then yes, absolutely they should.

OK then. Claiming Crash Bandicoot as part of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for Xbox One X. Not my first time beating Crash 1, and cleared in 3 hours, 32 minutes. Also cleared the Stormy Ascent bonus level. Scientific game rating: 9/10. Still great after all these years, and the 4K remastered visual and analog controls are much appreciated. The two bridge stages with the warthogs and turtles can still fuck off, though.
