Ghost in the Shell PSX was pretty cool..using Missiles in it with the lock on captured the anime smoke trails superbly..no one here will ever laugh about Silent Bomber ever..I guess the companies follow up game Tail Concerto might also be considered.

I am not Japanese literate, but I mostly play games that are in Japanese. So it does not matter.

I'll second the comment about Kuri Kuri Mix/Adventures of Cookie and Cream- Very unique gameplay, but make sure you have a second player!

Hell, anything made by ArtDink Technically Twinkle Star Sprites is two genres put together, but it's definitely one of a kind.

Some games that I can remember off my head:
Stretch Panic (PS2) On the Ball/ Cameltry (SNES) Pieces (There are other Jigsaw games, like Jigsaw Madness, but there aren't many. SNES) Gyromite/Stack Up (NES. Using the R.O.B) Tecmo Deception Series (Including Trapt. PS/PS2) Espionage Agents (Dreamcast.) Illbleed (Dreamcast) Nights: Into Dreams (Sega Saturn) Paneltia Story (Sega Saturn. Japanese...but not very good) Hey You Pikachu (N64. Kinda unique for its time, but I hate it) Tetrisphere (N64) Disaster Report (PS2, though I don't remember much) R.A.D: Robot Alchemic Drive (PS2. The sense of scale is great, but am I the only one who doesn't like this game?) Boktai (Gameboy Advance. Otenko...) Car Battler Joe (Gameboy Advance. Not that unique, but still...) Dokapon (Gameboy Advance. Rock-Paper-Scissors in a rouge-style RPG) Riviera (Gameboy Advance. Interesting interface) Jack Bros. (Virtual Boy. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's because it was one the earliest games to introduce popular Atlus characters like Jack Frost in the U.S., before Revelations: Persona) Steel Battallion (X-box. Freakish controller required to play) Lost Kingdoms 1 & 2 (Gamecube) Trauma Center (DS)

Panekit. Design, build, and control various sorts of vehicles. Complete different tasks to gain more parts, blueprints, etc. It uses physics to make your creations move, and all this on a PS1. As far as I know, there haven't been too many other games like this - I wouldn't mind seeing another one on a more powerful console, though (more accurate simulation, better framerate)

Border Down actually seems to play a LOT like Taito's old Arcade/Saturn shooter "Metal Black" (And I'd be willing to guess that many of the same people worked on both). Though, I always found Metal Black to not really be very good, and Border Down is a much better game, IMO.

Metal Black has an incredible first level, and the weapon power up system is especially nice (and the way it can cancel boss attacks and deal massive damage is great).

Geist is real diffrent from most first person shooters. Instead of shooting shit you posess peoples body's and shoot shit. I hope if they make a Geist 2 that they make the game more "posess what ever the hell you want" type of game.
