I recently got into KOF so I picked up KOF XI, KOF:Orochi Saga, and KOF 94 Rebout. I am enjoying them all, but KOF 94 Rebout is borderline awful. I prefer to play the regular old 94 emulated on the disc. KOF 94 Rebout has beautiful high res sprites. They aren't just scaled up and filtered. There is a ton of more detail in the sprites... you can clearly see faces, etc. However, they didn't increase the number of colors on the sprites, so you get awful "banding" of colors. They also didn't improve the animation at all. The 3d backgrounds are just awful. They honestly look like PSX 3d graphics... giant pixels, and plenty of stages that are just flat gray squares with sprites sticking out of them. The stages in the original KOF are much more colorful, detailed, animated, and interesting, sadly. I wish they had just included the original 94 with the Orochi disc as a bonus, because while I enjoy collecting the SNK games, 94 Rebout is a serious waste of money.

The original 94 is on Rebout. Just play Neo Geo mode.
I actually liked the 3D backgrounds. Not really any better than the Dreamcast versions (well better than 98s) but some of them are cool.

That website reminds me of this one time i did a re-review of OOT back in 2004. I only gave it an eight because it's a different day now and alot of the game doesn't hold up so well. The first comment was "This is a nice balanced review. Lots of good points" or something. Everything else was "You son of a bitch OOT is the best fukcing game ever you fucking sony fanboy"

Alright, I know you guys put a lot of work into this article, but let me correct a couple of things about '94 just for the sake of completion. I won't mention the hidden but lethal counter, Benimaru's and Chang's special move cancel, desperation attack damage mercy or Heidern's one blow kill because some of them are considered bugs (some of them are actually there on purpose) or just irrelevant, so here's the rest:
There's the regular dodge move (A+B), and there's the "attack avoider"(back, forward + A/B) that will hit your opponent but not cause any damage.
Charging up is not the only way of performing desperation attacks, you can also pull them out with a red life gauge. A combination of the two will cause even more damage.
When you are dizzy or being held by the enemy and your energy is lower than his, pressing down + ABC will make one of your friends jump in and hit the enemy (no damage to him here either) if he/she is visible on the screen. This includes Rugal's black panther too.
The "clothing tear" affects Art of Fighting female fighters only that have been defeated by a special or desperation move on the last round.
All of this applies to '95 too.
Thanks for your time

I'm making my own KOF for the Mugen Engine but being so jadded by the meanness of that community and just sick of rehash in 2d fighters I haven't done much work on it.
I was very distressed when they left Mai out of XI yeah she's in the Ps2 version but it's just a copy and paste job from NGBC.
I'm also pissed SNK Canned rebout on XBOX
Eh Lets just say I'm pissed at SNK in General

Hey, first time on the board, and just thought I'd pass along that there's an "update" of Maximum Impact 2 in the works for arcades called King of Fighters: Maximum Impact 2 Regulation A. Ash Crimson is confirmed to be added to the line-up, any other new characters are unknown at this point. Apparently after briefly developing stuff for the Atomiswave Board, SNK's decided to adopt Taito's TypeX2 hardware. I'm guessing this is like Neowave, where they make an update of a previous game to familiarize themselves with the new hardware before they start making more games for it. Also, KoF: XII has been officially announced. Cam-footage of the Kof:MI2RA trailer. Quicktime format. am-net-bbs.com/am-show2006/kofa.3G2

Looks like these are worth mentioning. They're all Japanese magazines, which is I guess why they aren't in the American one. You never mentioned it in the article

I was wondering......how is mai even able to stand? Welcome to the Intarwebs, where bigger boobs than Mai's that also don't affect the woman's back is just a Google search away.

I was wondering......how is mai even able to stand? It would be awesome if a fatal fury movie came about cause we know that actress who plays Mai would be stacked.

My friend's sister who was 17 and 130 lbs at the time had natural 40 DD's and had to go thru surgery because it was debilitating her spine.... what a sight though...
