hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/gwendlessduel/gwendlessduel.htmI remember this was all the rage back when SNES emulation first came about, at least a couple years before Gundam Wing came to the States. I'd never played it before, but it is quite decent. I never played the Battle Assault games, most of the stuff I added came from Wikipedia. I've gotten the impression that they aren't nearly as good as Endless Duel.

They aren't. And as far as I can tell, Battle Assault 2 was actually a cut-and-paste of various Gundam-themed fighters that came out in Japan long after The Battle Master 2 (the Japanese version of Battle Assault, with Hamma Hamma in place of Wing Gundam). They're still somewhat interesting, though, if only for the monstrous character sizes.

As long as you're mentioning the Battle Master/Assault games that came after, why not add something on the SFC G Gundam fighter from 1994? It doesn't look, sound, or play anywhere as good as the Wing one, but it did come first.

Shinigami got thanked for screenshots at the end of the write up, but I will thank him again here. I was having major computer problems at the time (still am, always will be) and this really never would have come about without his involvement. So thanks.
Shinigami should probably also get a nod for fact checking the comments that I made about the anime. He is a fan so I needed somebody who had knowledge from experience and he took care of that. He did the same for DBZ HD.
Three paragraphs up from the Character Profiles:
"Each limb is animated separately, which allows the console to display large sprites with smooth animation without requiring too much memory. This allows the console to display large sprites without it requiring much memory."
That is obviously repetitive. Sorry if that was in the version that I sent in.
The paragraph above it ends with this sentence:
"Mechs are animated differently in this game than in other fighters."
Because it pertains to the paragraph that follows, it seems like maybe you meant for that sentence to begin the following paragraph? It still makes sense regardless, so no problem.
Mercurius - Lucrezia Noin Character Profile, last sentence:
"In the anime, Heero pilots this mech, and Lucrezia pilots two different mechs, neither of which are not in this game."
Obviously, "not" is a mistake. Again, sorry if that was mine.
All in all, awesome stuff. Nice to see this go up. Shinigami should dig this.

Yay, I've been waiting for this. It feels weird seeing my effort on the site. I kind of wish that Treize was a playable character, but if he was the only thing he'd pilot is the Tallgeese II, which is exactly the same as the Tallgeese but with a slightly different head.
I know this is just nitpikking but, is there anyway I can prevent or stop my browser from loading those flash advertisements?

I know this is just nitpikking but, is there anyway I can prevent or stop my browser from loading those flash advertisements? Yes, uninstall Shockwave player or Flash player plugin. Or just reinstall the browser without the plugins. I have 3 browsers installed: Firefox with no flash (for regular surfing), Opera with flash plugin (for some applications that need it) and IE (for cheap websites that only work with IE). Flash ads and spam consume lots of CPU time because most of them are designed by stupid ppl with no consideration. As an example, some of the ads at 1up.com consume 50% of my CPU time, which is a Pentium 4 @ 2.4 gigs!!! Incredible indeed.

Issues fixed!
I'm not sure of any way to block the ads without using any outside program. Maybe try Adblock? I've never used it. It's become mandatory to post those on every page.
Anyway, PSOne games are dirt cheap at Gamestop now, so I picked up Battle Assault 2. Maybe I can add to that part a bit.

I didn't even know there were flash ads on the page... thanks to AdBlock.

Firefox's Adblock helps a lot, all this time I had a way obsolete version of Firefox and didn't even know it.

Endless Duel was a pretty big at first. It's an extremely broken game though the minute either player actually learns any moves/combos. Some games fall apart at high/tournament level play but this one pretty much falls apart once anyone chooses Death Scythe. Definitely the best Gundam game on the SNES though. They're not fighters, but the best Gundam games IMO will always be Federation vs. Zeon and Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam.

In all fairness the same thing can be said about 3rd Strike and Marvel 2, or really any Capcom Fighter.

I think this article should be expanded to include some of the other Gundam fighting games. I'm a huge Gundam fanboy and I've played the Banpresto arcade fighter, G Gundam, Battle Master, Battle Assault, Battle Assault 2, SEED Battle Assault and SEED Destiny Battle Assault extensively. Battle Assault 3 isn't really a fighting game, it's more of a cross between Smash Bros. and Dynasty Warriors, so that doesn't need to be included.
If you want me to write pieces on these, I'd be more than happy to once I'm finished with my Sengoku article.
