I was disappointed when Dead Phoenix got cancelled, although it doesn't look as impressive as I remember -

Contra Spirits 64 - Apparently it was being developed by KCE Osaka. It makes me wonder whether it would've been as good as the N64 Goemon games or as mediocre as Castlevania 64. I heard there was a GameCube version in development as well. I thought that was brought over to the PS2 and became Shattered Soldier?

propeller arena (dreamcast): I got a download of the leaked game, but this needs a proper release with the online finctions. Would be great if they release it for psn or live, though unlikely.
True fantasy live(x-box): I am a PSO fan, so at the time consoles mmos interest me by their ' simpler' game play.
Perfect dark zero (gamecube): I knot it was released for the 360 but I just feel it would have been a different game it it was released as planned for the cube. It would play more like the 64 version and timespliters my two favorite console fpses.

That's pretty much why it was killed off. It was good, but it wasn't great. Blizzard hasn't made a single great game since 1994. *ducks Duke Nukem Forever (PC) - Fuck the haters, this game looked awesome in every preview that was ever released. The cancellation of it brought a tear to my eye and the leaked footage of the final builds blew my fucking mind. Yeah, that's actually more of a shame than all the others, because it could have been at least two awesome games. Too bad they sucked so bad at actually finishing their work.

I doubt it, considering Shattered Soldier was made by KCE Tokyo and KCE Osaka was still around when that came out.

That isn't an unreleased game. It's on Game no Kazume vol. 2 for MEGA CD and was released on the Japanese Sega Channel service.

At least that explains why I've never heard of it. Thanks for the info.

One of my most anticipated was The Lost by Irrational Games which was supposed to have been their next game after System Shock 2. It did sort of get released in India when another company picked it up, made some changes, and finished it, though. www.the-nextlevel.com/review/pc/agni-queen-of-darkness/

Man, you really gotta give it to Blizzard: they actually pull the plug on a game if it doesn't turn out absolutely great. This guys are sick, or so the saying goes.
Didn't they do the same with Warcraft: Lord of the Clans?

Yes. I believe it was retooled into a few novels, and Thrall- the Orc main character in Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos- was from Lord of the Clans.

Didn't they do the same with Warcraft: Lord of the Clans? Pretty much, but to be fair, the art/animation in that game was some seriously low budget garbage.

The art was much better than in any other Warcraft product to day.
