When you are not feeling completely confident about the lunch you bring to the office and there ends up being a special lunch provided instead.

Snow! It start a day or two ago and hasn't let up even a tiny bit. They're calling for it to last until Thursday at least and we already ahve a good foot or two! :3
I had a fun hike downtown with the dog to drop off some paperwork and get a caramel apple spice from the 'bucks. It's his first real snow and he loves it. I made him wear his doggie hiking backpack/satchel harness thing so he could carry my crud.

I wish I loved where snowed a bit. It's only hailed once where I lived. When I was like seven. I'm 22 now so it's been awhile. It was beautiful last year though when we went up to Yosemite and I got to see snow. I love weather. I think I must've been a meteorologist in a past life. I even like seeing the rain cascade down my window as I sit down with a good book to read. And if I know a rain is coming I will purposefully skip the bus and walk home via the train tracks. I'm a very weird person.

Sometimes I don't realize how many good friends I have until I do something like post a Youtube video after a months-long absence. Within minutes of uploading some video of me playing Doom, three comments entered my inbox. It's nothing as spectacular as much of the stuff mentioned in this thread, but there's something heartwarming about realizing that you have people that genuinely care about what you do.

^Definitely. I'm a fan of weather as well. I have a thunderstorm thing. When I was 15, I flew for the first time overseas to Europe and had to get on a really early flight. They were calling for summer thunderstorms in a few hours and I watched out the window as we took off and it was just awesome. We rose up and flew over the dark clouds and everything had this weird glow because sunrise was coming. I went on an exchange in Florida and we stayed at a hotel on the beach for a lot of our training. I'd do a several km run every morning before sunrise and breakfast. We'd have to stand in ranks and face the ocean after the run and recite(shout) some thing (Marine thing) and when you looked out at the ocean before daybreak you could see all the lightning and thunderstorms flashing in the distance into the ocean. One of the coolest things I've ever seen.

I think I know why you're ecstatic, but care to elaborate?

My fiancee's birthday is next month and I've been trying to find her some unique presents. So I tracked down an address for John Waters and sent a photo to be autographed and a SASE. From what I've read he's good about that kind of thing but I wasn't sure it would be here in time but it showed up today.

My wife's birthday present from October made it back today. I sent a book to the author, and after it being lost at the university the author worked at for a couple months, she found it, signed it and decorated it, and returned it. That's $50 well spent at last. XD And my wife's reaction was great. Happiness all around!

I just got an invitation to entrance exams for Theater Academy Helsinki! I have no previous (finished) education apart from Grade School, so it seems my 10 years of acting experience must have impressed them. Awesome!

I woke up this morning exactly five minutes before my cell phone rang. I didn't recognize the number, so I answered it anyway to see what it was. Turned out, it was a recruiting agent from the security company that I applied at yesterday, wanting to engage me in a phone interview. Not to jinx it by being too excited, but I think my interviewer sounded generally excited at my answers, so who knows, I might get a gig working as a security guard - something that, admittedly, I've dreamed of doing for a while (well, my dreams are actually of being a police officer, but I doubt I've got the physical ability to pull that off).

So, despite having listened to every episode of Retronauts it completely escaped my attention that they've been coming out with new episodes. That's great since RetroGaming Roundup is kind of a poor replacement.
