The Master System has the Marilyn Monroe posters and the red and blue Spider-man look-alike.

The Master System is a pretty cool port, I used to play it all the time when I was 11, but it's not arcade perfect, obviously.

In shinobi III: "So which was supposed to be "Shinobi 2"? The Revenge of Shinobi? Shadow Dancer? Or perhaps the atrocious Cyber Shinobi?" I believe shinobi 2 is The revenge of shinobi. The first ones is one in arcade Shinobi II has difficulty ranging from "challenging" to "excruciating" , but have interesting presentation (rip-off boss and also Jackie chan-like in chinatown) While in Shinobi III, difficulty is tolerated also Joe has more appropriate ninja moveset (perhaps wall jumping is influenced by ninja gaiden)

Masi Oka (from Heroes) helped advertise the PS2 game by playing the original arcade:

I reread the article after finishing The Revenge of Shinobi, a very nice write-up. In the part about that game it says getting the good ending is one of the hardest achievements in gaming, so I'd just like to point out that it can actually be done very easily. You just have to make it to the final boss while powered-up and with a ninjutsu spell to spare, so you can use the thunder protection spell to protect your power-up. The boss goes down very fast that way, just in time to save your girlfriend (well, Joe Musashi's). There's at least 3 power-ups to find in the big maze level before the final battle, including 2 in the same room near the end. The problem is that the next-to-last room is filled with enemies, and it's quite hard to clear without getting hit once and losing your power-up. So the trick, then, is to kill everything in that room, take one of the wrong doors to loop back somewhere else, then make your way back there, grabbing the other power-up in the room just before on the way. You can then just waltz out of there to the final boss with all the tools you need to murder him quickly.

Revenge of Shinobi-- I remember a method of getting 2 ninjutsus going into the final boss by deliberately dying once in the last level, because starting a level over gives you an automatic ninjutsu, and then you can pick up a 2nd ninjutsu later in the level. That way you can enact the thunder protection spell twice and you can simply slash the final boss repeatedly without getting hit once.
Of course, if you already have a ninjutsu going into this level, you don`t need to do this.
