I believe there was a band called Biohazard which is why the original title wasn't brought over. There was also Sega's Bio-Hazard Battle which, while it probably wasn't a huge deal, probably had to do with the namechange as well. Speaking of which, that game's Japanese title, "Crying", was pretty awful in of itself.

This one is so bad, on so many levels. No. Just, no. Everything screams: don't play me. Why call it that? It's like basing an action game on the rescue mission in Return of the Jedi and calling it... JABBA! (exclamation mark intended). And.. oh God, why is he laying that way? Why? And the European version is called... Tongue of the Fatman!!? ... OK I give up. That's just too nasty. *drops mic, faints*

I can't believe nobody's mentioned Resident Evil. I don't see what was wrong with Biohazard. Maybe copyright? I mean, the game takes place in a house. But there's monsters in it! It's like they were gonna call it "Spooky House" and then grabbed a thesaurus. /rambleabouthowpigdestroyermeanscopkiller The phrase "resident evil" has a meaning outside of its literal interpretation. It's really pretty clever. It could refer to a haunting, or a lingering sense of dread like the sort of thing one feels when visiting the Manson house or something. It's the verb "resident" -- as in, a lurking evil or a present danger. I think it has a nice poetic ring to it, personally. -Tom Yeah this basically. Also as someone who works with biohazard materials it's probably better that that sign remains sequestered as something not to be used commercially. All right! English not being my first language obviously that one I never understood. Okay! Cool. I learned a word today! Now the title makes sense allright. My bad.

Speaking of which, that game's Japanese title, "Crying", was pretty awful in of itself. It is. I still don't exactly know why it was chosen. Bio-Hazard Battle may sound kind of generic, but it's at least a thousand times better than Crying. Also, yes, Tongue of the Fatman is a thousand times more awesome than Slaughter Sport. Hell, just Fatman is better. That reminds me that I once said I should attempt to do Mondu on one of the WWE games after seeing Weasel's version of Kirby.

But you remembered it. People remember the name "Tongue of the Fatman". Nobody remembers "Slaughter Sport". You definitely have a point here. This is shock marketing of the raddest level! ...It did not make me buy it, though. "Slaughter Sport" could possibly have fooled a wee 9-year old me, though, I guess?

Well, at least that Fatman game looks more appealing than this one:

Ha! And on Amiga, yay! Lawluz. I see your fatman, And I raise by ... Uh... Was it Hudson Soft? They made so many games for the pc-e... Well again, not a very enticing name. No it can't be Hudson, there's no volume number. Shoot. (See what I did here? I made a poop joke. I'm not proud.) Actually, I don't think you can find much more awful than that as a name and - pretty honest - cover combo...

Ha ha ha holy split those guys are awesome! This one was too funny. I have a bronchitis right now and you made me laugh so hard I had a coughing fit and almost went into hypoxia. Those guys are heroes. I don't know what, but they are the heroes of something. Thanx for the laughs. This is some freudian stuff right there!

Media Rings only published the game in Japan, just to clarify. Head all your laughs and stuff to Accolade and PF.Magic -- those are to blame.
