Congrats. PS4 is one of my fave 16-bit RPGs, right up there with Square's efforts of the era. Too bad most RPG fans grew up with the SNES and never gave Sega's series' a shot.
I got mine complete for $10 at a Babbages (before it turned into Gamestop.) One of the best purchases I've ever made.

PS4 is the only game in the series that I've ever really had patience with, mostly because the script is so well written (especially where Alys and Hahn are involved). Congratulations on the win - I understand this is a hard game to find.

I'm still kicking myself for passing up on it at GameStop for $10 a few years back. My local store was selling several Genesis RPGs for $10 each, but I only bothered to get Shining Force 2 (and what a wonderful purchase that was).
I'm sure I would've bought it if I wasn't influenced by my hatred for Phantasy Star 2.

It was $40 for it used back in the day when I got it- 1994/95ish. I have a complete copy, and it was still worth every cent, also being the price I paid for a complete copy of the original Phantasy Star for the Master System.

I've never really had much patience with Phantasy Star games, but the fourth one always had me come back for more!

Congrats man, it's a good game. I never had a problem getting Phanstay Star IV(ebay) or II(ex-rental), but it took me 3 or 4 attempts to secure a copy of III off e-bays. Bastards kept sniping me at thge last minute. Then I wised up and sniped sombody else to get mine, heh

I'm sure I would've bought it if I wasn't influenced by my hatred for Phantasy Star 2. PS4 is just like PS2 except with all of the annoying aspects totally removed. The battle system is faster, almost all of the grinding is gone, the music is awesome, the characters are more interesting, the dungeons don't suck, the story is better - an outstanding game overall, I started writing a Phantasy Star article like two years ago but got distracted. Plus I rather loathe the Online games, so...

PS4 is one of the best rpg experiences video gaming has to offer, and I almost lothe sega for neglecting the franchise. And PSO is crap, and should be named something else.

Reminds me of "Musical - the musical", and the whole bit about one Vietnamese child swarming the stage. Man, do I love Little Britain.

I have heard nothing but absolute greatness about PS4... I must say that I rather liked the original PS a lot, and I've wanted to play PS4 for a while, but... my quasi-obsessive-compulsiveness wants me to play PS2 and PS3 first, even though I've heard that PS2 is balls hard and PS3 isn't too much good.
Still, excellent find, as I've heard that PS4 truly is one of the finest RPG's to ever exist.

...For a second there, I really thought you were being sarcastic and talking about consoles. Anyway, please don't spoil your fun, I actually tried that and it wasn't quite fun, there's very little linking the games together so you're not losing out on anything.
