Apparently the worst one is UnderCover Kei 2025AD.
I've seen it and it really is bad.
On the US/EU side of course there's Spirit of Speed 1937. Bringing back LJN just for that was fitting, seriously.

Calling this the worst Dreamcast game is total hyperbole, but based on what I've played so far I don't think I'd call it good either. I think I'd classify this game as "kind of fun despite its best efforts to make the player suffer."

I ordered a copy of the Japanese version from Ebay, so hopefully that'll get here in time to check out the differences. Jojo is keeping it multiple regions of real. Actually I just wanna see if there's any more photos in the "Omake" folder...for some reason, Dogs is the only character without a swimsuit photo... |

Sorry, no Dogs photo in there  Here's all of the images in the JP version. There's two WAV files and a BIN in there as well. Haven't checked the US version so I don't know if there's anything different between the folders of them.. |

Hmm, was this room sanitized in the US release? I don't remember!     I didn't remember the swearing AT ALL in this game, but yea, there's some nice S-bombs getting dropped throughout there. I guess that got sanitized for the US release, too? Hard to believe how long it's been since I've played this, and yet I so very fondly remember the evenings that my friends and I played through it as if it was yesterday. Time flies.  Right now I'm on probably my least favorite part of the whole game:  The camera is a mixed blessing and totally hasn't aged as well as I remembered it. The behind the shoulder camera was way better in the US version for the tight locations (like the market), while the silent hill camera is better for the open areas. The japanese camera is better when using the gun by a country mile. I'm doing a shitty job of saving ANYONE on this playthrough. I'll have to do better on my next one. |

Also I don't know if there's extra instances but Dog's drops several S-Bombs in the English version.

Speaking of the power plant: You can actually find the Gatling Gun on the way there if you take an early detour into a side area. You have to fight a boss to get to it, but it's well worth it! |

Found that, but haven't had the chance to use it yet. How does it measure up with the plasma gun? That thing is just incredibly beastly and well worth the time spent getting some extra scratch in the market for it. I could have had it sooner if I didn't buy the shotgun (an oddly misnamed weapon), but the shotgun paid off pretty well in the fisherman's house.
But the plasma gun? More like boss violator. so yummy.

You can nab the shotgun for free, infact I'm just gonna list all the weapons you can get for free, in the general order you should find them. HANDGUN - BASEBALL BAT - NAPALM GUN - KARATE SHIRT - SHOTGUN - RAIL GUN - GATLING GUN - STUN ROD - ELIOT'S ROCKET LAUNCHER - LASER SWORD I don't think I missed any but essentially as Roushimsx has found, out of all the guns you can buy the Plasma Gun is probably the best one to pick up. Also a steak or two to boost your characters max health is really useful. |
