Wondering if anyone thinks that the Mega Man franchise is essentially a Tokusatsu thing or sort of. If you look at it Mega Man himself could be someone like Kamen Rider or Ultraman. He fights robot bosses that could be like Monster of the Week opponents. BUt Mega Man fight only around eight robots per game. In fact if Capcom wanted to do another spinoff for the series why not go this route? It has some interest ideas like the maybe MM fight the boss until it is turned into a giant and he summons and pilot a giant robot himself. I recall reading Spiderman doing this in a Tokusatsu show in Japan in the 60's or 70's. What ever the case I would mind seeing this.

I would agree with that. The Mega Man ZX series even has the human protagonists transforming into their armored forms using a device.

Mega Man definitely gives me Tokusatsu vibes. Fun fact: Did you know that his name was originally supposed to be Battle Rainbow Rockman? Made sense, since he changes colors when he changes weapons. But due to conflicts with a Tokusatsu series from Toho called Rainbowman, "Battle Rainbow" was dropped.

Isn't Mega Man basically just Astro Boy?
I've only seen short clips and gifs but the Spider Man tokusatsu show looks completely nuts and the theme song rules.

Yeah, classic Mega Man is basically Astro Boy and Casshern put in a blender. I do see the parallels although it does vary by series, but that is an interesting angle that Capcom never leaned into.

I'm confused. Is this supposed to be a beatemup or a fighting game? Given the past reputation of the DD series I'm not really looking forward to this.

There's another Turtles action game too, but I think the trailer is more promising at least.

Looking at the Splintered Fate TMNT game and thinking I’ll pick it up. Appears it borrows wholesale from Hades and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Apparently it has been on Apple Arcade for a year? My aversion to playing games on the phone has kept me ignorant of the service. At least some of their notable titles are finally free to release multi platform.

I'd rank a new FDC as pretty high on my list of unlikely sequels, but I wouldn't have expected the remakes either let alone that they'd get localized.
