...Holy crap. Of all the games to be in the lead, it's Madden. If it does win, though, I'm throwing aside Madden '95 for Madden '92. Why? Yeah, let me know if '95 has any ambulance shenanigans. Or unusually tiny football players.Disclaimer: I have NOT voted for anything yet. I learned the hard way with MechWarrior a few months back that voting early doesn't pay off, so I'll hold off and see if my lone vote can actually tip the tides somewhat. |

Madden was a lot of fun in the 16 bit day before it got all crazy complex. I wouldn't be offended if that won.
...but I'm voting for Trespasser. I had a beefy as fuck machine back when it came out and was able to tolerate the abysmal controls and just totally sucked into the glorious, beautiful game world. Wonderful atmosphere. Been wanting to reinstall it again and play with the available patches in order to get some fresh perspective on it (what with having just seen Jurassic Park in theaters again and with the fourth finally coming out like next year or something). Dicked with it a bit a few years ago and couldn't believe the controls were worse than I remembered; I imagine they're even worse now. Still want to replay.

Madden 95 is actually pretty good, but there's no way it can hold my interest for longer than a few hours. So my vote goes for Car Battler Joe because it sound so ridiculous.

That's actually the reason for me to shy away from taking part most of the time. I simply don't have the leisure to schedule being in a chat room at the same time when everyone else is AND follow a forum thread in parallel. (Aside from the fact that group chats stress me the hell out, anyway...) So when I follow the forum discussion it always feels like I miss most of what's going on, which is somewhat frustrating. That's why this run makes me wish we could also vote for which podcast we'd like to listen to, cause Madden would mean I'd have to wait two months for the next episode... |

I'm going with Car Battler Joe. Whatever game I'll be playing I'll have to play through emulation, and thus Car Battler Joe has the distinct advantage of being a game I've never heard of before, which makes me curious.

It's an obscure game that could use the coverage, and this vote means it ties with Madden, so hopefully someone who hasn't voted will put CBJ just in the lead.

Well it's like Tom Sawyer at this point, every lazy smartalec on the internet has looked at and made fun of it, and while on the one hand a smart look at some kusoge is often pretty interesting. Even home improvement does some things right, or at least is very close to getting lots of things right.
