I'm surprised 2 Unlimited wasn't dropped yet. A ton of games love to rip off their stuff, but Zupapa! probably takes the cake:
Unless of course you count the US soundtrack for Bio Metal, which was officially licensed.

...that's pretty much the same, my god.
Relatedly, Zupapa in itself is really odd, 'cause it was supposed to come out in 1994 (by Face, the same people behind Money Idol Exchanger) yet it came out super late in the Neo Geo's life, when SNK was going bust. I kinda wonder what people thought of it back then.

So, as I was playing New Vegas today, I came across this:

Looks like Mitsuda was probably inspired by Sakuraba for this track (although it might be a coincidence since they both have similar themes).

Not plagiarism per se, but the "fluttering" sound effect heard in the Inverted Stone Temple in Majora's Mask is very reminiscent of "Celtic Dream" from Lord of the Dance. However, I can't say if Lord of the Dance is where the sound originated from.

Not sure why the intro for one of the remade La-Mulana songs rips off the intro from Panjabi MC's Mundian to Bach Ke, especially since the rest of the song has nothing to do with it or Indian music in general. What was the point?
Is there a term in music for when a song's intro has nothing to to with the rest of the song itself? (e.g. One Night in Bangkok with the orchestral intro, and so on)

I dig those Ys item tunes, they're like a drug , can't wait for Lacrimosa of Dana.

Skimmed the thread, so maybe I missed it but Super Robot Wars W had a very blatant case of music plagiarism in it. It had music that was almost directly ripped from Warcraft II in it.
Super Robot Wars seems to have a bit of a problem with that. At least the smaller handheld titles.

Shit, this is definitely the uncoolest of the Streets Of Rage ripoffs:
It's probably not even remotely enough for a lawsuit, but there's some obvious inspiration going on here.
