Been awhile sense anyone posted anything here. But on a sad note, actor Rod Taylor passed away on the 7th of January. Not familiar with him much but remember him in The Time Machine as the lead. Other movies his appeared in are One Hundred and One Dalmatians, The Birds and Inglourious Basterds.

Douglas E. Smith, creator of Lode Runner. Died on the 7th and was only 53. Oof, that's sad. I enjoy Lode Runner quite a bit, despite coming from the pre-NES era (something I've never felt entirely comfortable with playing through.) From what I'm reading, the dude also helped to conceive Secret of Evermore, which is also a great achievement in my book. Rest in Peace.

This is totally belated, but Taylor Negron died the other day. He was totally awesome in "The Last Boyscout" as the bizarre villain "Mr. Milo."

I forgot about that. He was great in Easy Money. He was one of "those guys" like Eddie Deezen or Saul Rubinek that you'd see in movies all the time but not really know his name. I never caught any of his stand-up but supposedly he was pretty funny - he was always amusing in the movies he was in. LBS was kind of a departure since most of the time he was playing snarky burnouts or disgruntled employees.

Also in The Last Boyscout.

He's more of an internet celebrity but still... A few days ago Monty Oum, the author of celebrated animations such as Haloid and the web series RWBY, passed away because of an allergic reaction during an operation.
I admit that I never watched any of his works, but his demise still made me feel depressed, because I'm just a bit younger than he was but I have accomplished virtually nothing in my life while he had a great work ethic (to the point of being a workaholic).

Gary Owens, a legendary narrator/voice actor has passed away at the age of 80. I mostly knew him as the voice of original Space Ghost (later he was the narrator of Space Ghost Coast 2 Coast), Blue Falcon and as the narrator of Space Quest 4 and 6.
He was also going to be the narrator in the Two Guys Spaceventure Kickstarter game, but I guess its too late for that now.

Damn, that sucks. I felt he really brought some great personality as the narrator for the two Space Quest games he was in. I'm gonna miss that guy.
