New Ducktales? ?? I was always a sucker for Disney afternoon. Particulary Gummi Bears, Duck Tales, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, and Aladdin. The problem with Dragon Ball GT that many have is that since Akira Toriyama didn't pen the plot, it isn't considered canon by many. I tried watching Dragon Ball GT, but like much of Dragon Ball Z, the episodes move too slow for me. They feel so drawn out. By contrast, Dragon Ball Super has been more tolerable. But damn, some episodes have really crappy animation quality.

Not sure if it counts as "TV" since I'm watching it online, but I just finished this new season of South Park. To quote the show itself, it really sucked big floppy donkey dick.
I stopped watching it years ago but returned to it since I've read that past seasons (18 & 19) introduced continuity and were pretty great, the best in years. I watched something and decided to give this Season 20 a chance since it was only 10 episodes. Boy I was wrong! The first episode already introduced at least three plot lines, which is never a good sign, but I hoped they could resolve them... but they as usual are being obsessed with being topical, so they followed closely the presidential election. Only that they, like many, were sure that Clinton would have won, so once Trump became president they had to hastily rewrite everything.
Usually SP has extremely short production times, but this works when you have a single episode to redo... much less when there's an entire season to be fixed. I could go on for pages listing all the problems of this season, but I'll try to be short: continuity errors, disregarded plot points, lots of characters introduced to do nothing with them, important characters forgotten (Randy, Stan and Kenny are MIA), unfunny storylines run to the ground, themes all over the place (was it about trollling? Gender wars? The problem of nostalgia? Who knows), very out of character moments (Butters as a men's rights activist and Cartman as a white knight??) and a very anti-climactic ending that uses a blatant reset button without really explaining anything... At least they could have done a humorous deus ex machina by putting some old character a la Jesus, Mr Hankey, the ice cream-crapping taco or what have you to fix everything, but no, they had to link it to the SpaceX storyline that was very boring and made just to show the Elon Musk cameos.
When I said that Parker & Stone were wrong to be always super topical nobody believed me, but this goes on to show the problems of that mindset.

I've fallen into my annual Flash/Arrow sinkhole. As cheesy as these shows can be, I can't look away. They really capture the soap opera aspect of comics so well.

So, it's 2017 and the dutch Comedy Central decided to start airing Last Man Standing for some reason. Because why not start airing a poorly recieved sitcom six years after it debuted in the US...
Anyway, the pilot happened to air after something I was watching. Since I had no clue what it was I decided to watch it. And my god, what a mess. I just gotta give this a make-shift review to not let these 20 minutes of my life goes to waste.
The Tim Allen character is about the most generic sitcom dad ever. I'm not even sure if he qualifies as a character. They had to establish his bigoted nature, so two 'jokes' amount to: he hates Obamacare and oh no a kid might grow up gay. The second complete with ohoho (instead of hahaha) laughter from the laugh track. Speaking of the laugh track, I don't think I have ever heard a laughtrack with poorer timing. Sometimes (actually, often) it starts too soon, sometimes it ends too late, sometimes the type of laugh isn't suitable for the scene.
The plot makes no sense. There's Tim Allen, his wife and three daughters. All of them save the mother have a 'plot' or problem of some sort. Out of his daughters' plots, one appears out of thin air only to dissapear after absolutely no development because they forgot about it, one isn't even clearly a problem, so we're left with a resolution that comes out of nowhere. The last one basically amounts to: "my daughter can't even change a tire", later in the episode the daughter suddenly emerges from a door with some black stains on her: "Look daddy I changed a tire". What happened in between? Nothing. That goes for all three plots really. No development at all.
Not to mention, one of the daughters gets upset about how Tim Allen told her she needs a man. What solved this problem? Tim Allen arranging a guy for her to date (actually for another character, but whatever). Again, what happened? That's the opposite of how she should've reacted. How did she change her personality this fast!?
The pacing is completely incompetent. I can't even explain it, but it's like sometimes there are lines missing or something. Sometimes there were reactions of characters or scene changes that just makes me go 'huh?'. Like the writer(s) knew how they wanted the plot to be, but they didn't remember that audiences don't have the same info they do.
So I got a new worst sitcom ever. I have seen many shitty sitcoms over the years but I am seriously baffled that a new low has been hit. What happened to the art of the sitcom man?
0/10

I've only watched the first season of The Flash, but it was much more impressive than I thought it would be. It does a really good job of balancing super hero-ness with reality and melodrama. I like that there is cameo criss-cross with Arrow. Quality fan-service. I'm currently going through episodes of No Reservations and Parts Unknown.

I don't really watch regular TV anymore, but Netflix and the like count too, right?
Rewatched the first two seasons of Rick & Morty and the seventh season of Archer with my gf this time around. Still not on the level of Venture Bros, but still pretty good. Hope they get the new seasons out soon.
We started watching the Expanse next and after four episodes it's pretty good (well, aside from the supercliched detective). Lack of aliens and supernatural shit is always a plus. Reminds me quite a lot of the I-War games actually, very similar premise and plot. Hopefully there might even be enough interest to get a game out of this, god knows I'm hurting for new space combat games, especially (semi)realistic ones.

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson-sadly it's no longer being shown(there are lots of clips on YT tho),but it was one of the best of it's kind, for me at the very least.

Well, got a few shows. Really enjoying This Is Us. (Reminds me a lot of Parenthood, which I also really liked).
Started watching APB, which I'm also enjoying. It's basically "What if Tony Stark worked for the police department." It's mostly fluff, though it does occasionally touch on topics of technocracy and the militarization of police.
The other shows I keep up with right now are:
Agents of Shield - Lots of Whedonic fun. Got a little boring when it focused mostly on the Sokovia Accords thing (Around the time Captain America: Civil War came out) but has otherwise been great. Loved the Ghost Rider arc.
Star Vs. the Forces of Evil - It's not Gravity Falls. Unfortunately.
Bob's Burgers - This is my jam.
You know, I mostly watch crap.

I started watching Steven Universe.
I've never seen any of these 2010s kids' cartoons people go nuts for like Adventure Time, Gravity Falls etc and I figured it was high time to change that, so I picked Steven Universe first.
And wow, it's great, as far as Cartoon Network shows from when I was a kid goes it reminds me a bit of Powerpuff Girls in that it's a show with crossover appeal for both girls and boys, lots of girlish stuff but also silly humor for boys, the humor is not as cynical though (remember that episode with Rainbow the Clown?), in fact the show's all about good vibes, which is sweet.
And man is it gorgeous to look at, it honestly kind of stuns me how good American TV animation can look nowadays, it makes the stuff from when I was a kid look like crap in comparison.
And I love the hints at world building and the larger story, that's also an interesting change from when I was a kid, cartoons weren't really expected to have an overall story or make any real sense when I was a kid, like Dexter's Laboratory and just how exactly he had that enormous lab.
The anime influence is also interesting, it's not as much as I expected though obviously the whole thing is a homage to the "magical girl" genre, but the biggest influence is likable characters you enjoy spending time with, again it's an interesting contrast from when I was a kid where every cartoon, even something like Rugrats, had a cynical edge to the humor, Steven Universe is all about being heart warming and sweet though it's still very funny.
What's crazy is that the creator of the show, Rebecca Sugar, is only two years older than me, so I assume she grew up watching the same Cartoon Network shows I did, so I'm watching a Cartoon Network show created by someone who grew up watching Cartoon Network shows, that makes me feel pretty old (well that and the fact that I never get carded anymore), but is also awesome.
EDIT: fyi I started watching it from the beginning.
