Anyone check out Stranger Things on Netflix yet? A really good horror show. Just finished the season last night and really enjoyed it. Anyone who's into John Carpenter, Stephen King, or even Lovecraft should enjoy. Lots nice homages and throwbacks that aren't intrusive. And actual, good child actors. I finished it yesterday, I'm not really into TV series but this one was short plus I like horror/sci-fi, the 80s, synth music and all that so I enjoyed it a lot. I agree, the child actors were really believable and not too stereotyped. El especially was amazing, so very vulnerable but strong at the same time. The 80s homages maybe were a little too calculated to make the show a cult classic, but worked well nonetheless. The geeky and friendly science teacher was also a cool character, too bad nobody talks about him! Speaking of homages, there's a thing that I think nobody pointed out because it's a tad obscure and also a pretty big spoiler, but the worm/slug thing someone throws up at the very end looked to me one of the parasitic alien slugs from 80s zombie/sci-fi movie Night Of The Creeps. Was it on purpose? |

You know I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but it is a show... and I haven't had regular TV since I left home... I've been watching Dragon Ball GT, and I don't get the hate.

Been watching True Detective the last couple of days. Made it through season 1 and most of season 2. I never thought that pairing up woody Harrelson and Matthew McConoughey would be exactly what I needed in a cop show. First half of s1 was better than the first, but still a very good show. Reserving judgment of s2 until its over. Still not sure where its heading.

Me and my roommate are (partly re)watching Frasier. We're already at the 8th season and we just started the series a few weeks ago. Still one of my favourite comedies of all time, next to 30Rock and Community

Typically, I never watch TV, except when my mother visits me. I torrent Archer and It's always sunny in Philadelphia, and that's it. Nothing else.
