Bet you all forget about this thread, eh? Like always I didn't do most of what I had planned. But at least I did some. I don't remember if there has ever been a thread for this, but I'm sure a lot of you tell yourselves this year is finally going to be the year that you'll beat game X you have had in your backlog for ages. Or maybe you're planning on finally giving series Y a try, or make more use out of system Z. So, post your plans for the coming year here, and then at the end of the year, we can see how hard we all failed! I'll start: -I've been planning to beat Dragon Quest III for ages now. I really want to play more of the series, and give the Final Fantasy series a try, but I want to beat this first.-I really need to get copies of Super Mario Land and Super Mario Galaxy. These are currently the only Mario games I don't own in any form, though I have beaten them both.-I borrowed Metroid Zero Mission from someone, but haven't gotten to it yet.-I would like to get up-to-date with the Ace Attourney series. Starting with replaying the first three games (of which I only own the third one). -Some other random games from my backlog that have been in there for too long and that I want to get out of the way this year: Undertale, Mystic Quest, Pikmin 3, Kirby Mass Attack and MOTHER.-Maybe play my XBOX for a change.Reminds me that I have a half-finished Mystic Quest playthrough I should get back to.

I mainly plan on going through the rest of the Quest for Glory games after playing the remake of II this year. Probably going to play I, then import my character from II into III. Set low goals, complete low goals! I half wish I had played through the whole series as my Throwing skill was way higher at the end of I than it was when I played II as III actually needs high throwing for fighters and paladins. On the other hand, it needs to be so high that the 20 or so point difference wouldn't have mattered too much anyway.

1. Replay Metal Gear Solid on PlayStation (the proper way, I used to play the PC port!) 2. Continue collecting dogtags and beating VR Missions in Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance 3. Complete Shatterhand and Special Cybernetic Attack Team (I'm so close to beating final stages of either games) 4. Complete any game from the Valis series for PC Engine CD-ROM² (first or third game most likely). 5. Make some progress in Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden (I haven't done much since downloading the game) 6. Buy a 16-bit console, either a Super Famicom or Sega Genesis/MD (NTSC preffered, I'm not a fan of PAL in older systems). And a corresponding EverDrive, too. 7. Buy a good, rare game for any of the systems I've got - Crisis Force for Famicom or Neo Contra (English PAL) for PS2.

Mine for this year is to stop finishing games. There's too much to play and the inital hours when everything is new and intersting are the most fun ones anyways. So after 2-5 hours, drop them and never look back like a date who revealed he voted Trump.

Find a loved one. Who doesn't play games.Wow, how strict are you on that? Is it okay if they partake with mobile smartphone games? My resolution: 1. Finally finish playing Tales of Phantasia and Shining in the Darkness. I've restarted both several times, and just haven't seen either through.
