You're totally right, GTAV is the best game in the series and it's also the newest one, how many other franchises can make that claim? That the latest is also the best? GTA2 is fun to dick around in but I find it almost impossible to complete the missions due to the lack of an in game map. It is still more fun to play nowadays than GTA3. Not many. I must confess that I've yet to play GTAV. But I'm terribly curious about what the next GTA will be like. We probably won't know until a while after RDR2 comes out. I'm so bad at beating GTA games that the only one I've played through is The Ballad of Gay Tony, which I liked a LOT. It was a long wait, but my intro to GTAV was the PC version and when I hopped into a blimp and flew above the city at night it was literally breathtaking, you should definitely give V a shot one day. I never did play any of GTAIV's DLC, including Gay Tony, never say never though. As far as a future GTAVI goes, my gut feeling is that it's going to be a return to Vice City, given the ocean exploration stuff in V, it seems like the perfect setting to expand on that. Also to be honest, I think Rockstar never needs to set an entry in anything other than Liberty City, San Andreas or Vice City. That provides a perfect cross section of America and any other city would either be too similar to another (you could do a Chicago equivalent but it really wouldn't be too different than Liberty City) or just not really scream "GTA" enough, so given that IV was Liberty city and V was San Andreas, Vice City seems like the next logical step. We probably won't see it for years however, 2019 at the earliest would be my guess.

Hmm.. I wouldn't mind seeing another set in Vice City. GTA needs alligators. I *still* haven't played Gay Tony, though I own it. I was working on Lost and the Damned (which was pretty good but not amazing) and got side tracked by GTA V.

I just want to know what it's going to take to get another Bully. I admit that GTA4 pretty much turned me off on the entire series, and Red Dead Redemption, while I wouldn't call it awful, has such a slow start for me that it's taken me some time for me to get back into it.
...I just really, really want another Bully, man.

Damned straight. GTA IV was the point where the series lost me too. Never played RDR, and I all but know for sure it's not my thing at all. Bully though... stunning game. Loved the visuals, the story, and maaaaan that soundtrack. Riding around town on a push bike with that music and setting - one of my most cherished gaming memories. Hit me right in the feels it did

GTA4 is the only one I ever (tried) to play. But it was such a dull sourpuss of a start, with such a boring colour scheme... I instead just made my buff Australien dude wearing almost nothing but tats and a huge bulge, who has superpowers and kills people via dildos and dub-step, in Saint's Row 3/4 and never looked back.

Sounds a bit like the GTA titled entries are generally better than the numbered ones.
RDR is really good! But it appeals to a really niche audience which I am a part of.
Of the GTA games, I only have Vice City and San Andreas. Haven't beaten either yet though.

Bully is by far my favorite Rockstar game, although I didn't play any of the post-PS2 games aside from Chinatown Wars which I found highly overrated. I bought the PS2 version before I even had one myself and used a roommate's system. I eagerly bought the Wii rerelease too although I remember the combat being easier to control in some ways and harder in others. It's such a pure distillation of the spirit of GTA and much more joyful than those games ever are.

I have several games with the EA label on them. And I like them. That's nothing! Try being the resident fan of Idea Factory! Now there's a pleasure to feel guilty about! Speaking of, I'm a big fan of sexy, strong, dominant women in games; declared many of them to be my waifu, and I see them as role models and want to be just like them. Also, another thing: you think you're bad at video games? I'm probably ten times worse. Hell, I likely make DarkSydePhil look competent! My only saving grace is that I'm aware I'm incompetent, and not on the wrong side of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Their Otomate label is usually well regarded, tho. Because Visual Novels offer no gameplay they could fuck up.

I could make like 5 billion jokes back, but instead I'll just say "It's too late for me! Save yourself!" I mean, once the infection has progressed to the point where you look at your PS3 and see an allegedly friendless, workaholic tsundere, there's probably nothing anyone can do ! Especially when you also will look at a Sega Genesis and see a sadist who you totally don't lust for what are you talking about. (Got a good laugh out of that, though. I kinda needed that, too)

Wish Rockstar would make GTA, GTA London 1969 and GTA 2 available again. I just messed around with them as a kid, would like to have a proper go at it.

GTAIV was all right, but the expansions and Saints Row 2 are just way better in every way.
Also, obligatory:
