Confession time: I've never really liked the lore of MechWarrior all that much. I'm all about the Battletech mech designs tho. I loved the Ravenloft books. Way more interesting setting than Forgotten Realms. the book Battletech: The Sword and the Dagger actually got me interested in the setting (kind of... I had watched the cartoon as a kid). I remember liking both it and Decision at Thunder Rift, but never read much farther than that. Of the video games the one I have the most experience with is Mechwarrior 2, though I also played Battletech for Genesis (called Mechwarrior 3050 on the SNES for some reason) which... I like its co-op mode especially. IT's kind of a unique setup--there's just one mech but both players control it, one controlling the legs (thus moving it) the other controlling its shooting direction. The game is playable 1-player of course, but it becomes a lot more fun (not to mention easier) played 2-player. The only Ravenloft I've read is I, Strahd (because I recalled The Spoony One speaking highly of it) and I loved it. I do indeed find Ravenloft an interesting setting (whereas Forgotten Realms is just another dime-a-dozen Middle-earth ripoff). .... slightly more on topic, but I swear the logos for Robotech and Battletech use the exact same sort of lettering. I think there was another mech series called Metaltech which also used that lettering.

I think there was another mech series called Metaltech which also used that lettering. MetalTech is EarthSiege. I guess ES is technically the subtitle, but MT got dropped very quickly probably because it was so small on the box. (the box)

Metaltech became Earthsiege, which became Starsiege, which finally became Tribes. Mission Force: Cyberstorm 1&2 and Hunter/Hunted also fit in there somehow.
Metaltech: Earthsiege was also made by the developers of Mech Warrior 1, who wanted to create their own competing series.

You can easily mix up The King of Dragons with Knights of the Round, just need some Capcom flavoured beat 'em up sauce.

I remember for awhile (back when all we had were magazines) I sometimes got King of Dragons mixed up with King of Fighters.

I thought that Hand Of Fate had something to do with Legend of Kyrandia: The Hand of Fate, but apparently not.

There's apparently a PC game called Arabian Nights, which just happened to be released at the same time as the Dreamcast port of Prince of Persia 3D... which was itself renamed (on the DC) to Prince of Persia: Arabian Nights.
I saw a Games Done Quick speedrun of it... the hero of Arabian Nights even kind of LOOKS like the Prince of Persia, and the speedrunner himself made jokes indicating he thinks they were intentionally trying to cause confusion.

Not going to deny it's a ripoff, but Arabian Nights came out between PoP 3D and Sands of Time and only in Europe.
