I saw TMNT last night and I have to say I enjoyed it. Be warned, though, it is meant to be a typical CG children's film and doesn't have many of the dark elements presented in the original film. Also, the story wasn't very good but the humor, character design, voice work, and fight scenes really brought the movie through.

Also, the story wasn't very good but the humor, character design, voice work, and fight scenes really brought the movie through. True true. There was no need for all those monsters running around that ended up contributing nothing at all, plus the living statues didn't make good characters either. The turtles were fun and had a good script, Splinter was OK, April in ninja suit? I don't know.... and Casey Jones was kinda wimpy. The action was great once you get used to their new design, and the Foot Clan led by Kirai was just awesome. Fun Fact: did you guys know Kirai makes an appearance in TMNT: Tournament Fighters SNES as the final boss?

Yeah I saw this on the 30th of March. It was a lot better than I expected. I think it would be really neat to see future movies in this series with the same design.

did anyone else watch the new TMNT animated show that came out a few years ago? I really liked it and I wish they had made a movie in that image and not this kiddie crap. the show might've tried a bit too hard to be modern (april looked more like a model than reporter) but it still retained the sdark parts of the old show.

I liked it but I lost track with the seasons (Fast Foward, wtf?) It also followed the spirit of the comic from what I've heard and it was more violent than the original cartoon.
Who where was suprised when they found Shredder was an Utrom in the new series? I'm like wtf Shredder is like Krang?

I knew the film wouldn't be as violent as the original comics, but overall I really enjoyed TMNT, and I'd like to see more installments...as long as they don't get TOO kiddy with 'em.

They were actually benevolent aliens in the comic and the new cartoon but Shredder in the new cartoon was the one exception.

The movie is nice but I missed some of the TV show goofy humor and characters And what's the deal with April becoming a mega ninja babe?
