I got a new computer finally and downloaded an IRC client (Icechat). I've never had a problem with it before but now every time I try to connect to the server it times out (60 seconds elapses) and tries again, to no avail. It's irc.psigenix.net right? Hopefully I'm just making some minor mistake here.

I'll try Vortec IRC. I have an add-on that stops most background scripts from running but it's only supposed to be for my actual browser. I'm pretty sure it can't mess with a separate program. I could always use chatzilla or whatever, I guess, but I'd hate to burden my browser more than I normally do.

Yeah, it's affecting people randomly, it looks like maintenance time as nickserv and such is down. A couple of the same people in my other channel keep dropping and I've dropped or a keep almost doing so.
If anyone else is experiencing crap, it should be sorted out overnight at the latest. These things never last too long.
