The first game was also released on the MSX. It didn't mention it on the article

I'm going to start going back and fixing up some older articles, so I started with Fantasy Zone, which was done almost three years ago (!!): www.hardcoregaming101.net/fantasyzone/fantasyzone.htmOther than fixing up some spelling mistakes and updating the formatting, I added in Galactic Protector, a spinoff released in Japan for the Mark III/SMS that requires the paddle controller.

You should mention the X68000 port which had this awesome Space Harrier level. Assuming that isn't some very clever rom hack, I would try to get to the level myself but the port seems more difficult than the arcade version at default settings so I keep dying early in the game. Also might be worth mentioning the replay mode of the Saturn version, and the vocal theme song :P Can't wait until PS2 emulation is stable, playing Fantasy Zone like this will be awesome. Oh, maybe make a mention of the hopefully soon to be released Fantasy Zone II DX in the article? Another small thing: the arcade port of Fantasy Zone 2 does have a radar. It's not too great though, not showing you your own position. At the time you wrote that article it was unplayable in MAME, now it's not. try it! I think music on it sounds even worse than on the master system version though.

Hmm, never knew about the X68000 thing at all. It took a bit of digging around, but it's true. It's hidden though. Basically, you need to break down the radar into numbers. Starting at the right side, count 1, 2, 3, etc. Now, in each level, the first pod you need to destroy corresponds to that numbered pod on the radar. For the first level, you have to destroy the #1 pod first, second level destroy the second pod, etc. Instead of just dropping a regular coin, they'll drop a letter. If you collect all seven, it'll spell out HARRIER. When you beat the seventh stage, you'll be taken to Dragon Land. There's also a hidden option screen. To reach it, you need to hit the "touroku" (register) key. Now, on WinX68kHigh Speed, this button isn't assigned to anything, since it doesn't exist on a standard Western keyboard. You need to go into the config and map it somewhere. In the config, it's one of the buttons in the upper portion with some kanji on it. Just map it, go to the title screen, press it, and you're there. You can also set Arrange music, which uses MIDI instruments instead of the arcade synth. Alternatively, you can just download these save states to check them out yourself (again, using Win68KHigh Speed): hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/fantasyzone/fantasyzone_x68k_savestates.zip

That's not a spelling error, that's a grammatical nightmare. Fixed that up. Also, "touroku" looks like this:

Uh I don't think there is any arrange music in the saturn version, unless I somehow missed it.

The first level of the second loop. Has slightly different graphics, it says.
Also, the "arranged" music referenced in the Saturn version is just the vocal version, apparently.

Nice to see this one expanded upon as well. I did notice quite a few mistakes still in the text, though, so you may want to give it another careful read to weed them out. They're not misspellings, so they won't be highlighted in MS Word. It's stuff like missing words, extra words, wrong tense used, etc.

September?!?! Christ, they've been working on this long enough. A renewed version of Fantasy Zone II will be awesome though.
For the non-Japanese speakers - it has Fantasy Zone (SMS and Arcade), Fantasy Zone II (SMS, Arcade, and renewed version), Fantasy Zone Gear, Super Fantasy Zone, Opa Opa/Fantasy Zone: The Maze, and Galactic Protector.
