So what Rail Shooters are there besides,
*Frontward scrolling - (Space) Harrier series - 3-D World Runner - Afterburner series - Starfox series - Panzer Dragoon series - Rez - Sin & Punishment series - Counter Force/Ex-Zeus - G.I. Joe (Konami) - Iridion 3D - Burning Force - Charge 'n Blast - S.P.Y. - Special Project Y *some sections of the game - Xyanide - Jupiter Strike/Zeitgeist - Thunder Ceptor - Novastorm - Microcosm - Astro Trooper Vanark - Omega Boost - Devastators - Rambo 3 (arcade) - Thunder Blade - Galaxy Force 2
*Sidescrolling - Dynamite Duke - Spinal Breakers - Swat Police - 2Spicy - Riot
*Fixed Arena - Cabal - Blood Bros. - Alligator Hunt - NAM-1975 - Wild Guns - Pirates - Gamshara
I've played one more, I think it was from SEGA (not sure!) and it could've been an arcade game or a sega mastersystem game (and that case it could've been another publisher/developer, but it was on sms). You played some cartoonesque/S.D. detective or mafia (guy with hat and raincoat) shooting off mafia and it was more of the fixed arena kind.
So other then that are there any more Rail Shooters?

Xyanide for the Xbox. It's frontward scrolling, and the ship fires at 360 degrees. Enemies attack from pretty much all around the ship. It's hard to explain, since it's pretty one of a kind. www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2Eaaam-zZ4

Jupiter Strike/Zeitgeist (PSX) Tetra Star (FC) HyperZone (SNES) Thunder Ceptor (AC) NAM-1975 (NG) (If Cabal counts, this counts.)

You know what games kicked ass? Novastorm (on PC; IIRC the console ports trimmed some content out) and Philosoma (on PS1)

Tetra Star (FC) HyperZone (SNES) Tetra star screenshots? video? Forward Scrolling? HyperZone was racegame like F-Zero no? That seems like a shmup? Are there rail shooter parts?

Since Novastorm was mentionned, don't forget the one before, Microcosm!
I'm pretty sure Philosoma is a shmup also.

Thanks.
Completely forgot 2Spicy too, even though it uses a lightgun, you still have a character on rails that can dodge attacks. And it's a dueling/versus gameplay.

The only ones I've played are Panorama Cotton, Rez, and Elemental Gearbolt.
Not sure if those count or not >_>

Those definitely count, but Rez was already mentioned.
How about all the 3D scenes in The Lawnmower Man for the SNES/Genesis? Those were pretty fun.

Those definitely count, but Rez was already mentioned Elemental Gearbolt is more of an Lightgun Shooter. Which Cotton games (apart from panorama cotton) are actual rail shooters, I know there's a couple.

Don't forget Killer 7- well, at least, it's pretty frequently classified as a rail shooter, even if IMHO it's closer to a lightgun game or survival horror.

Wild Guns is not a side-scroller.

Vanark, which has a review on the site.
Also, Omega Boost.

HyperZone was not a racer. The closest comparison is Namco's arcade game Thunder Ceptor. You moved forward on a path and had to shoot enemies and dodge obstacles. Also, would Sega's Rail Chase series count?
