You tested them at his place and they were blown? after you paid for them?

Yeah they sounded totally fine when I bought them a couple weeks ago. I was in a shitty mood and in a hurry so I didn't bother going out to my car and grabbing something heavier than what he was playing. I'm dumb

I guess we should consider ourselves lucky that this new Robocop is a real guy in a real suit as opposed to CG. Even if it does look like total crap. I'm honestly wondering if the suit we're seeing now is actually some sort of "stunt" suit that will have CGI applied on top of it during post. My biggest problem with the new design is that it just isn't bulky enough. In the original movie, when Robocop shrugged off small arms fire, it was believable because he was covered in inch thick titanium armor, where as the redesigned armor looks about as thin as tissue paper. Unless he has some sort of energy shield, I don't see how this Robocop can stand up to more than a BB gun. Otherwise I don't mind the redesign much. ED-209, on the other hand... I actually kind of like that new one...

I don't think it's too bad a redesign either, although it's jaggedness is kinda weird. I think it would have been more interesting if they kept it all bulky and boxy considering Robocop is now all streamlined. You know. Show the conflict of the advancement of technology through two different technological monsters wailing on each other. Also the way that it's positioned in that picture makes it really hard to tell if it has two arms, or three, or a cannon coming out of it's chest...
I never really had much of a connection to Robocop. Before my time. I think it's kind of awesome, because, you know, ROBOCOP, but I don't mind the idea of a remake too badly. I mean, hell, that Dredd one is actually supposed to be good!

I never saw Robocop until past the year 2000, as one of many movies that my fiance introduced me to, but I love it to pieces nonetheless. Probably the biggest downgrade about this new movie is that won't have compositions by Basil Poledouris. That man was an absolute genius.
I'm known to randomly starting humming the main Robocop theme without even really realizing it from time to time.

The problem with a lot of these remakes in that the inherent charm they had in their earnest cheese will be jettisoned for a more cynical edginess.

It really pisses me off when wonderful fanarts I see on internet (mainly on Facebook and Pokememes) are ruined by 9gag's or Pokememes' logo. Why should they took other people's works and stick their logo as if they own them?

Or see if you can get some replacement woofers from the company. Are they both blown, or only one speaker?

Feck - no matter what method I use I can't fix the first LP of my copy of the Fragile by NIN I've known it was scratched for years but I truly hoped it'd play through after a good clean and the reversing trick

And no way to get the dust cover off at all? Geeze... What kind of speakers are they?

Buh. Must be the earlier model where the grills don't come off. I found some posts online that suggest the back of the cabinet can be opened by removing screws, and that the drivers are fastened from the inside. So if you decide to replace the woofers you ought to be able to get them out if so inclined.
