Saying that being part of the military is like professional wrestling is a massive fucking insult to anyone who's served.

Yo, I'm not saying it is exactly the same, or nearly as honourable.
Just saying, you can die in both of them.
My great grandpa served. He picked up dead bodies in WWI and II. So, I heard stuff. And my brother's two good friends both are in the reserves, I'm not saying it is exactly the same or even though close just saying that they both exist.

I'm not trying to pick on you, Smithee, but if you aren't saying they're the same thing, or even close, you actually aren't saying anything at all.

Shit that currently pisses me off:
People who use the "Shit that pisses you off" thread as a fucking livejournal! there's a reason journal sites exist.

Feeling like an unemployed lout, even though I know a lot of qualified people are in the same position as me.

So, I've applied for two credit cards one from my bank and one though my student loan and I was turned down for both. The bank sent a letter with a pretty blanketed response of no. The student loan people called me and asked me questions one of which made it seem like I have bills at collections. When did this happen? Why haven't I received anything for these? How do I go about finding out about them? Argh, I just want my car inspected and go to the doctors I can't really afford another $500 dollars...

I despise student loans. Why can't we be more like Europe and pay our youth to take vacations and go to University? Heck, in France new mothers get a government-paid-for nanny to come in and help with the kids, laundry, chores, meals, etc. *%&*$
I still have two credit cards to pay off and a student line of credit. lol

Just as a warning to folks with student loans, if you've been out of school more than 2 years they're probably going to garnish your tax refund. A friend of mine's wife is in this situation and just got a letter from the IRS saying as much...apparently it doesn't matter if you've been paying or not.

I hope they don't start doing that in Canada too.

I'm fine with the student loan, I would have not been able to got to college with out it. Even if it is a pain. As for taxes consider this year I owed 270 because of freelance work and last year I got maybe 250 back whatever. I don't expect anything from my "tax refund" ever.
Right now it's more of a case of I could really use the card. I have some large upfront expenses like my car inspection (I need new breaks to pass) and going to the doctor's (I have gal stones). So I could really use the credit card right now because I know I can pay it back, I just don't have any up front money right now.
What I want to know is why I have money in collections. I've paid all my bills.

I don't know a lot about America but is there any chance they are doing this because they are so in debt they're trying to almost force people to pay more of their loans, earlier?
I have no idea, really. That's not fair. Maybe there was a mix up. Can you call anyone about it?
