So, this morning, on the bus to work (because there's almost no parking in the city), there was a (natural-born, biological) woman who didn't shave her mustache.
She also didn't shave her goatee.
I wouldn't say I was so much "pissed off", really. But I thought it warranted a mention.

Finally, someone to battle Monique for the crown. The crown is made out of disgusting amounts of body hair.

For the last several months, Uncharted 2 just won't get past the initial load screen with the dagger. It's my favourite game and I want to play through it again, damn it! This is apparently a well-documented problem but the fix that most people say works is to delete all of your game data. Oy vey.

Shit. Never ran across that, myself. How about backing up your saves to a USB device? I think PS3 has cloud saves now, too. That might be another option.

That probably would have been a good idea, but I kinda jumped the gun and deleted the game data, the patch, and then redownloaded the latter. After pause at startup, it loaded to the main menu. And uh, for some reason my saves were all still there? So that was good. I thought that deleting the main game utility thing would erase all of my saves but I guess not. I'm a total idiot when it comes to system data/maintenance of any kind so I ain't questioning it.

So the internet seems to be aflame with this "Kony 2012" thing where some company is taking donations to go to Uganda and deal with Joseph Kony, the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army. Honestly, I realize that Kony is the kind of huge asshole that does need to be dealt with, but that's about where my stance ends - my stance being, leave me the fuck alone, my life sucks enough without needing to be reminded that it sucks worse for people on the opposite corner of the globe!
It's not like I have any money to donate to "the cause" either. Fuck unemployment.

If people wanna donate to this thing despite the shadiness of the "charity" involved (allegations of Invisible Children taking 60% of the donations for themselves for "travel costs", supporting the Uganda army despite war crimes-raping and looting-and bending facts to manipulate folks into pressuring the US into doing more despite the US already working to get the dude), hey, that's their thing. Quit trying to emotionally blackmail people into "spreading awareness". The smugness of it all really annoys me since I doubt this is as simple an issue as it's being made out to be. People really dig people armchair social activists, like the whole "change your facebook picture to your favourite cartoon to get against child abuse". Um, aight. Personally, I think it's a nice thought, despite my cynicism that killing Kony is just gonna result in him being replaced by another psycho, or if it fails he'll retaliate and kill a bunch of people.
I haven't watched the video, though. The first few minutes were kinda insufferable and it's 30 minutes long. I guess that makes me heartless, or something.

It's like how you can uninstall games on your computer while keeping your save data.

When people take "fanon" too far, or declare a fan-made remake (or other sort of fanwork) of something to be official series canon.
That's pretty damned annoying.

There's a guy on another message board who pisses me off pretty badly.
70% of his posts are tired old image macro memes.
the other 30% is just him posting stupid MLP shit.
And this is on a freaking _hockey_ message board.

Pains me that a large percentage of gamers would rather have shiny, pretty graphics and an unoriginal storyline with gameplay lacking any intelligence, than something with worse graphics, but a standout written story and believe characters. I mean if were using graphics and loadtimes as standards I guess we should never play a game from last generation and everyone than even had a console then was just wasting their time. Ugh, it's even worse when I hear it from a guy who would instantly plop down $60 if it has underage tits and a Japanese accent. Fucking weaboos, what are they for. /End Confusing Rant.
