I used to know one of those. He was so far off from the brand image of Mac owners it would have been funny if his wild gesticulating didn't make me run away.

I own a Mac.
...a really old one. For most intents and purposes, it sucks, but I mainly bought it to play cheesy old shareware games.
Am I an exception? =P

You bought it for retrogaming- that's dedicated not "durr it's better at everything- you get what you pay for!" which makes me want to do unspeakably violent things!

It's only a game, but there's a part of me that's a little creeped out by people who think the Legion in Fallout: New Vegas is the "right" choice. I don't mean people who play the Legion path just to see what happens or because they like playing the villain, I mean people who think homophobic, misogynistic rapist slave traders wearing pots and pans for armor are the "good guys".

I think it's reasonable to be more than a little creeped out by people who think that.

I mean people who think homophobic, misogynistic rapist slave traders wearing pots and pans for armor are the "good guys". You mean there are actually some people who think that? It was made clear the first time you see them that they're the "bad guys". Even without all the crime, the slaves and pretty much everyone in the game hates them. Not to mention the whole "burned man" story.

I've seen people excuse the first one on account of the village in question being populated by scum. And also claim that since this is the post-Apocalypse, society needs to be "tough" and "macho" or some such crap.
I mean, yeah, the NCR has its problems, but I fail to see how some corrupt officials and difficult to sustain expansion is anywhere near as bad as the Legion as a whole.
Also creepy was this one guy who considered all NPCs to be pinatas full of loot and found the idea of not shooting everything in sight to be "alien". Now, I can understand that playstyle to a certain degree, but really, the idea of just roleplaying a guy who doesn't kill everything that moves is "alien" to you?

Dude, compared to that, the IRL Kira supporters sound reasonable. You can blame that on terminal naivete and having the attention span of a donut - or just ignoring the second half entirely (which I understand some people do), where Light admits that, in addition to being a sociopath with delusions of godhood, he plans to start eliminating anyone who he thinks isn't contributing productively to his perfect world (which would likely include people doing nothing but praising Kira on message boards XD) once he's done with all the criminals. Supporting Caesar's Legion...that's just warped.

I'm pissed off at the TMNT reboot, where they're going to be aliens. And it's produced by Michael Bay, so we can expect Michaelangelo in pickaninny blackface makeup singing "Mammy" in the middle of an explosion.

You made me think of something to draw, though...the turtles will probably look like they're made up of knives and shit like the movie Transformers. How do you think they'll bastardize what the turtles look like?

How do you think they'll bastardize what the turtles look like? Hunchback green midgets in David Byrne-style oversized 3-piece suits, with a "Star Trek Alien" job of shiny green paint on some vaguely beak-esque nose prosthesis. And somehow, that creepy CG version of Orville Redenbacher from those popcorn commercials a couple years back will be in the movie, too. Just for extra creep-factor.
