...the idea that carrying guilt over something that someone else did, somehow will lead to evening out some soft of karmic or justice scale. It won't. Bad things may have happened to People A, B, C, and D (none of whom deserved it), but allowing Person E to do something bad to Person F (who doesn't deserve it) in order to "tip the scales back" won't stop something bad from happening to Person G. So there's no need for you to feel like you're somehow complicit in what happened to A, B, C, and D. I have absolutely no idea what any of that is supposed to mean, but goddamn. This stuff is gold, Jerry!

Man, when people walk up to you, shout "Tofu!", and throw cobalt over your shoulder, in that order, it really grinds my gears.
I also don't like it when people dish out all sorts of trash-talk and then get righteously offended at even an ambiguous hint of you saying something negative about them.

I'm not sure why, but there's something about me that just pisses people off. It's starting to get very old, very fast. The stupid shit I've had to deal with the last few months is enough to give me a headache, I swear. Some days I feel like I'm the only mature person around and I know that's not true with my short fuse. It takes all my willpower just to not lose it sometimes.
The sad part is that it's all on the internet. Try not to be a mod on a site with a really close community, because you'll have a target on your head if someone gets banned. Granted that's not all the source of my frustration, but it's the main source.

Granted that's not all the source of my frustration, but it's the main source. I'm a Listal mod, and every other month or so there's a member who takes issue with our image deletion rules. I actually find it amusing. It almost always ends with said member deleting their account out of protest and/or in recognition of the futility of it all. It all works out in the end, so it doesn't bother me. Whenever something really rattles me online, I try not to make it worse or make myself look bad. I ask myself if it's going to matter a year from now, as well as whether I'll come out of it regretting losing my cool. Though this is a heck of a lot easier for me to do online than in person, and the site in question is pretty lax on a lot of the things other forums go overboard obsessing about.

There's a middle-aged Jamaican at my job who is constantly being abusive to my face and talking shit about me to everyone else in the office, and I'm getting sick of it. He's already run a previous employee off with his nastiness, and he's trying to do the same to me.
Whenever I try to stand up for myself, I'm told to just take the abuse, because that's just how he is to people he doesn't like, and even though everyone thinks he's an asshole, and was taken off the phones for being one, they still defer to him just because he's fast.
How do I survive his constant poisoning of the well?
ADDENDUM : Now he won't stop farting at his desk.

I'd compain to management Hikaru- even if you have to leave an anonymous complaint do something. I was walked over in several jobs- no one thanks you for taking abuse "like a man" or some absurd social etiquette cr*p like that :\

Another thing (because so many things piss me off)
Short-sighted geeks who somehow equate my being turned off by sexualized pandering/fanservice to simultaneously be both misogyny and an attack on their masculinity.
I'm not even sure what sort of psychological gymnastics you have to put yourself through to leap to that conclusion.

In some ways, I think what annoys me most about DmC is the way the press just completely eats it up. Like that Destructoid preview that claims being able to effortlessly lock enemies in aerial combos was great, or all the ones that gush about the combat being dumbed down because it makes it easier to pick up.
Well, that and the fact that it's gone from directional inputs and timing to alternating between "light and strong" attacks to string combos together like God of War.

After playing El Shaddai, this is the wrongest way to make a beat 'em up. Using precise timing to string attacks is far more satisfying than alternating between light and heavy. It is so gratifying to use the fist weapons in that game and get the timing just right so that Enoch starts engaging repeated punches, accelerating until he's just wailing on a dude. It's a hard move to time but it's so worth it.

I know, but apparently that's too difficult for the average gamer, so they're going with the button mash-friendly version. Not to mention the fact that you have a grapple with absurd range.
And on the press' end, you have them rewriting history and saying DMC4 underperformed (it was not only the best selling entry in the series, but sold more than all of Ninja Theory's games combined), that Bayonetta was too hard, and long, drawn out articles on why the series supposedly needed to change that ultimately say absolutely nothing.

What? Bayonetta wasn't that hard?

Today I got a notification that the government altered the financial aid regulations, and that I will not be getting any more PELL grants because I've been a student for 12 semesters. See here. Thanks a whole fucking lot, Republicans! XD Now I get to try to figure out how to stay in school tomorrow with financial aid. w00t
