zzz: I think what Dai is trying to say is "thank you for the correction, but I've decided not to use it". Whether or not he's wrong, it's his prerogative to continue using the word he chose in that manner, and I think his aggravation stems more from you continuing to argue the point when it's quite obvious that he doesn't want to make the change you're suggesting. I had no issue understanding what was meant, and I see this as valid usage for the word "mythos", so I see no reason to make this change if he doesn't wish it. -Tom But that's not how this site works, dude. When people make errors in their articles, those errors get corrected.

Except that it's debatable whether or not it's truly an error. You say it is; I say it isn't. It's one against the other, and neither of us can definitively prove our point.
So you might as well just let it go. The original author wants that word used, and so it shall be used.
EDIT: And to pre-emptively respond to your likely response: yes, it clearly IS debatable as to whether or not it's truly an error, since we're debating it!

From Meriam-Webster.com:
* Main Entry: my·thos * Pronunciation: \ˈmi-ˌthōs, -ˌthäs\ * Function: noun * Inflected Form(s): plural my·thoi \-ˌthȯi\ * Etymology: Greek * Date: 1753
1 a : myth 1a b : mythology 2a 2 : a pattern of beliefs expressing often symbolically the characteristic or prevalent attitudes in a group or culture 3 : theme, plot <the starving artist mythos>
Please refer to #3 for what is meant in that sentence.
Anyway, interesting article. I have a friend who is totally into the Vocaloids... actually a few of them

I say the sky is green. And yes, that is debatable because I'm debating it. See how that works? Words have meanings. Those meanings are no more open to debate than mathematical equations. Example: This is not a cat. The word in the article is "mythos", but the author is trying to say "mythology". It's no skin off my ass if it doesn't get changed, but it IS an error.

Mythos is perfectly acceptable, in this context. Mythology may or may not be "more right," but that doesn't make mythos wrong.

I don't know if I ever want to declare something like Vocaloid Week ever again on the HG101 blog. Can't say it wasn't fun though. All of the posts during that week was information I did find during my research for the article, but wasn't going to fit. So I didn't let that go to waste!
