The development team is wholly Italian; Alessandro Pedersoli (Bud's grandson) and Markus Zoelch are managers of Plattfuss Vertrieb, a brand registered in Germany for the sale of Bud-related merchandise there, and the KS has been created with an account registered by Zoelch.

Here is another shmup, this one is called NIGHTHAW-X 3000 and has interesting stages It was already approved in Steam Greenlight at least. I would also recommend Final Boss-Raw Label-. It's a shmup that has been worked on for years already but from what i have tried of the demo, it will be worth the wait. The demo can be downloaded on: se-made.com/finalboss.html

A fan-made Castlevania game called Castlevania: The Lecarde Chronicles 2 is in development. It's got original Alucard voice actor(Robert Belgrade) on board and 4/2017 released date,it's not bad for a free game actually;

I've known the creator for over a decade. He already did a huge Castlevania fangame in 2001 called Haunted Castle 3, very ambitious for a freeware game at the time but lousy coding, although I still enjoyed it; afterwards I gave him extensive help during the beta phase of his "magnum opus" Lost Valley, a Zelda-like game (rather a Golvellius clone though, with side-view dungeons and bosses, and items to later walk on water and chasms) with an overworld map made up of almost 1200 screens; beside a few parts, it still holds up nicely. After a few more games he quit for some years but then embarked in the project of the first Lecarde Chronicles, which has ended up a great fangame and a better Castlevania than anything Konami has done in many years.

Can't really find any info on Lost Valley,could you point me to any screens or videos ?

Also because of its generic title, it's really difficult to find something about it. Not even the creator's website has a download of it (he'd like to modernize the code but he may never have the time to do it; the game runs on recent Windows, although with some hiccups). It's been preserved here (damn, even the design of The Daily Click is frozen in time), and the only video I've found is this one. I've also got a walkthough I wrote long ago and then refined a couple years ago; to do it I played the game with a cheat code (built-in ones are revealed upon finishing it) to get maximum experience from the very beginning, and for rest I went through the regular sequence of items and areas to unlock - still took 6 hours.

Checked it, i think it's decent enough,just needs to be zoomed out a bit maybe,not to look like one of those early GBA rpg's.He certainly improved on Castlevania game overall,i'll keep an eye on it no doubt;

I haven't played it but it looks interesting.

Has anyone played Hylics? I love the art style! Music is pretty cool too. It's only $3.00USD.

I already wrote about it in the other thread about oldschool modern games, but I repeat it: let's keep an eye on Shrine of Orm, a dungeon crawler in the style of 1990s first person Japanese dark fantasy RPGs. Graphics look like a good throwback and in general it seems promising. Plus, I like how the devs aren't shying away from actual horror:

What the plork..? I am suitably impressed. Going to give it a shot?? Ehh... Too much else to play at the moment. Also holy heckies that gives me the jibblies. It's on Steam now, and has apparently been on sale at least once; maybe I'll wait until it appears in a bundle.
