To be honest, I dislike the costume as well.

A damn sight better than what they're doing to Wonder Woman.

Yeah, that looks like a fucked-up version of Wonder Girl's original costume in Young Justice. Still, her white jumpsuit from the utterly retarded 1970's era (where she had no powers and used karate) was worse (arguably, and not by much).

Soooooo has anyone else on the board got around to reading Scott Pilgrim yet? I finished the last volume today and I must say that I'm mighty satisfied and it remains my favourite comic series thing ever so far. It's left a gaping hole in my life now that it's over, though If the movie is terrible I'm gonna be super-pissed but I have faith in Edgar Wright's abilities.

At first I thought that was Captain Marvel fighting with the Green Lantern and the game took place in a Kingdom Come-ish scenario... That would have been a hilarious subtle comment about standard RPG tropes. - HC

I'm only half interested in Scott Pilgrim. It looks great in plenty of ways, but really I ought to spend my money on Berserk and Tsutomu Nihei's shit right now.

Ey man, it was just an opinion! If anything, thethird started it! Why else he'd bring it up?! You know who else sucks? Daken. I dunno, and it's not that I'm also a homophobe, I've just been avoiding him like crazy but now that Frankencastle's wants to settle the score I get to see how right I was about him being unlikable as fuck AND I BET ALL HIS FANS ARE CRAZIER THAN THE LIKES OF ME.

I'm wondering about DC Online and whatever Marvel surely has coming. Would people want to play in the DC / Marvel universes if they couldn't be their favorite established character? It would seem kind of pointless. At least in Star Wars, you can be a Jedi without being Luke Skywalker. You can't be Batman without being Batman, though.
It'll be interesting to see how City of Heroes / Villains fares when the big boys finally ship.

I believe Marvel Universe Online has been canned.

I can't see how Daken would have fans, but I guess they exist. Daken is just "ew." From his retarded haircut to his tribal tattoos and willingness to fuck guys in the ass, it's like Marvel wanted to make the world's first frat boy supervillain. I'm hoping Frank tears off his nuts or something, but I doubt anything that cool would come of that crossover.

There are patterns of homophobia, sexism and racism in comic books, which I think is both funny and a little sick/uncalled for. I think that people are just people just as characters are just characters, or at least they should be and especially in comic books, they're not, which is unfair.
It is an interesting social study, to see why comic books are developed in such a way.
