Why is he apologising? He didn't cancel it :\ Probably because he knows Capcom won't do it.

I think he knew the cancellation was bound to happen.

I like how they timed MML3's cancellation with UMvC3's announcement the next. Rape one franchise, milk the next. Everything's forgiven! I hope Capcom's fans don't let this go. I'm no MML fan, but I feel for what they're going through. Make Capcom regret it. Sadly, from posts on Twitter all is forgiven and forgotten :/. I love how people are excited to get their money stolen from them. Fuck em.

That thing about the Wikipedia entry is really sad. One more reason to be embarassed of being a gamer for me. If I was a Capcom executive and saw that, I'd think canceling MML3 rather than catering to such immature people was the right thing to do. Also, if petitions and such, even if started by people who want to express their disapproval strongly but politely, end with a good chunk of messages on the same tone - well, good luck even making them doubt their decision a little.
Thinking again about the fan involvement, I ask, was it a good idea firsthand? Stay close to them, ask them opinions and suggestions, is a thing; asking their help to design a game is another. You can easily end up with a clusterfuck of conflicting ideas and/or a pile of features you can't just implement. And since there are already doubts that the project wasn't going in a good direction, especially after Inafune's departure, let me have the additional doubt that they tried to involve fans because they really didn't know what to do...

Who knows? Maybe Mega Man Legends 3 was going to suck after all.

Because we all know 4chan is a reliable source of information.

Because we all know 4chan is a reliable source of information. It is questionable, but I really wouldn't be surprised if it's true. Disgruntled fans are already bombarding Capcom Unity and their Facebook with nerd rage. It would look really bad if something happened at the Comic Con.

Because we all know 4chan is a reliable source of information. And Reddit for that matter; there are a couple accounts that claim to be from Capcom, saying it was cancelled because it was sucking. But the Capcom Europe Twitter feed is a great source of hilarity.

Oh, seriously, shut the fuck up. A few fans got pissed off and played a completely harmless practical joke and you think that's grounds for the company being ethically in the right for cancelling the game, a game they had got thousands, if not millions of people excited for? You know what's really embarrassing (other than your inability to spell the word?) about this? Having someone like you on this forum. What Capcom did in this situation was seriously a cold, cruel move. Thinking it's okay because a few fans reacted in a bit of a vengeful way that harmed no one is just completely asinine.

Of course it is okay for Capcom to cancel it. They can do whatever they like with it. You may be disappointed, but to suggest that it's wrong is ridiculous.

I didn't say it was "wrong," I said it was cold, cruel and fucked up. I know a company has to serve their better interests, but their complete fucking callous disregard for their fanbase is something I've got every right to accuse of being bullshit.

I'm as pissed as anyone about the cancellation of Legends 3, and anger towards a comment that seems to be casually dismissing the anger of the fanbase is understandable, but let's not make personal attacks on fellow forum members.

I didn't say it was "wrong," I said it was cold, cruel and fucked up. You also framed it as a matter of ethics, implying that Capcom was somehow ethically wrong to cancel the game. Nonsense. As are the attibutions of coldness, and cruelty. This was business.
