Plus, Origin is already quite a few years back as is the whole Bullfrog affair (gotta keep myself from crying over Dungeon Keeper 3, now), so yeah, EA isn't even half as bad as it was, say, five years ago.

I'm not sure it's wise to say "EA is cool now," after such massive betrayals from both Nintendo and Capcom, but it's probably safe to say they're no longer the Evil Empire they used to be.

Slowpoke here, I haven't been keeping up with games and such. What's nintendo been pulling that has people upset with them?

Not much other than filling up the Wii and DS libraries with shovelware products nobody buys except non-gaming infants and senior citizens, while keeping all of their good games Japan-only.

Japan and Europe only. (In a bizarre turnabout.)

Yes, I bought it on release. The environments look great for a Wii game (character models are awful) but that is all it has going for it.
Characters are annoying, script is poor, it's basically on the level of anime for boys/teens.
Battle system is the typically MMORPG-influenced junk that has taken over Japanese RPGs this generation. Lots of grinding required (I got to a boss and he was simply untouchable at my level... built up two levels and he was basically incapable of damaging me).
The rest of the game is offline MMORPG stuff, like in White Knight Chronicles. Run around giant fields collecting junk to refine into more junk. Run around collecting 10 of this and that to give to an NPC so you can get a hat, etc etc.

Shounen anime/manga usually has a certain aesthetic to it that's not really replicated anywhere else. I can appreciate that. Sure it might not be Hamlet, but... That's a bummer about the MMO style gameplay though. Is it a cool hat at least?

Is it a cool hat at least? lol! Sadly, in what little I played of the game there wasn't really anything cool about any of the equipment.

I've never signed any videogame petition, and I probably won't buy a 3DS, but I actually bothered to register a Capcom-whatever account to sign the petition and support Megaman Legends 3. The first in the series is one of my favorite games and I play through it every few years. The series really should be up to about Megaman Legends 7 by now, so it's a real shame development of a third title is struggling so badly (and probably won't ever happen).
