Then make a Capcom Unity account and vote for her. It's not that hard. It's not hard to vote but it's not easy to change the entire standings by myself. Unless the results got really close but I don't have an account so I wouldn't know!

I really don't like Kaji's concept. Yeah, Met hat, I get it. It's neat, but the character as a whole looks like she came straight out of the Battle Network games. She just doesn't fit in Legends at all.

Yeah, Kaji's reminds me too much of Mayl in addition to the sheer meh-ness.

I like Kazushi Itou's, Ryuji Higurashi's, Sensei Haruki Suetsugu's, and Shinsuke Komaki's designs the most. If I had to choose one of those, it would be Haruki's, so I'm personally glad it's winning I'm gonna throw another vote out for it, just to be safe.

She just doesn't fit in Legends at all. This seems like an odd criticism to me. One of thing things that drew me to Battle Network was how similar its character design aesthetics were to Legends'. I mean, Yai is pretty much the creepy little girl from the quiz minigame in MML2.

New details! Source. I found the possible "fans who are writers may work on the episodes for the game" bit most intriguing. Makes me wish I played the earlier games! XD I suppose it's not too late if I can find them...

"fans who are writers may work on the episodes for the game"
Then Mega Man rounds a corner and come face to fcae with Sephiroth. "Sephy" he say. "Make love to me now" Sephy moves closer his warm lips trembling
Yeah I'm definitely terrified by the idea of fans handling a franchise.

I'd really hope Capcom would be selective. I know a few who could do this project justice (pun not intended).

The choices: 1. I like this design. I don't know why people have a problem with it looking kinda like it could have come out of Mega Man Battle Network, Legends' style was never too far off from it and I think it's nice and simple. I like the hat a lot, too 2. I have similar feelings about this design. It's simple and elegant. 3. The body has some strange proportions, but I think properly translated into the game's style, this could be another good design for the new female character. I really like her expression in the bottom right. 4. Kinda disappointed by Inafune's one, here. She's got some Helga Pataki-esque eyebrows, too. It's not so much a bad design, I just don't think we need another blonde on the scene, and she looks a little too bossy/dominant, which isn't needed given we already have Tron. 5. Pass. This character really just looks kinda stupid. 6. Probably my favorite. She looks a little too stout on the right, but I think that might have to do with what she's wearing. If the jacket and boots were a bit more elegant and slightly more earthy-toned, I think I'd really just love the design. Her expressions look great, and she seems like a character that would fit right into the Legends universe and add a lot to it. I'm very pleased that she seems to be the clear winner. 7. This wouldn't be a bad design for a character that's prevalent for just one city, but as a character that's going to be as important as Tron or Roll, I really don't think I'd like that. 8. Fucking yuck. Way too much flesh is shown and the fashion sense is just ridiculous (hurr, I have a stocking on only one leg I'm so kewllll). Looks like Nomura was commissioned to make a design for a hip moe fetish anime. I hope whoever made this has zero creative input with the game, and if this character somehow won, I'd seriously be considering whether or not I actually buy the game. 9. Not as terrible as you'd think from just looking at the thumbnail, but still the 2nd worst on this list by a pretty decent margin. - - - - - - - - - - - - Also, I'm glad to hear they're trying to get the old voice cast back. I really hope they do the same for the English version.

The designer of number 8 was actually involved with the original Megaman X and the PSP remakes. Really not seeing a Nomura connection, though.
6 is my favorite as well, though.

The design has some oddly asymmetrical parts that don't compliment anything (like the stocking exclusively being on one leg). It also has exposed flesh in weird areas (like the shoulders) and generally serves no purpose as actual clothing (her arms are entirely clothed, but her midsection is strangely exposed), but is rather, exclusively, a fashion statement. The shoes are disproportionately and nonsensically large and there are frivolous parts of the clothing that attention is drawn to (such as the poofs on the wrists and the large zipper).
All those things are things that Nomura does, and all those things are things that I hate.

When I first saw 8 I thought it looked like Colette from Tales of Symphonia, so I wasn't interested in it. I didn't even realize until really taking a good look at it that she's showing a lot of skin. I still don't want it to win though. I like 6 the most too.
Most of that Legends info sounds cool, but having fans write part of the game isn't something I'm too sure about. It has the potential to be good in a way that people who simply work at Capcom and might not really care about the storyline wouldn't be able to do, but at the same time it could devolve into silly stuff only fanboys could write. Also it's disappointing that Mega Man 64 won't come to the Virtual Console. That service is so dead nowadays since games rarely ever come out for it.

I'm pretty sure the Legends team cares too much about the game to let fans turn the game into trash ;p They'll probably just take the best ideas and then put their own spin on them. I don't see anything wrong with getting some inspiration from fans, especially for a series that is only seeing its return because of a cult fanbase keeping the spirit alive for so many years.
