Picked up the CE today. I'm a little disappointed in it since it didn't include a sweet art book like Ys 7. The calendar does come in a fancy plastic case and is generally pretty impressive if kind of useless come 2012. At least the art is good!
Also my love for this game was sealed when I realized that you can set the music to either the standard, PC-88 or x68000 versions.

Just came home with my copy of the premium edition in hand. I like how it forms a single picture if you place the sides of Ys Seven and Oath next to each other (yes I am easily amused thank you very much). I'm making dinner now, and then I'll play Oath until I pass out from exhaustion. My evening is looking good!

This game is on my "I must get when I have money or try to coax it as a present" list. Played the PC version last year and it was excellent.

Amazon hasn't shipped my copy yet I guess that's what I get for being lazy and ordering online instead of making a trip to Gamestop.

Double check; they just lowered the price to $30 for the CE, so if you haven't gotten the price adjusted I'd give them a call. Unfortunately it looks like it's not going to arrive for about 2 or 3 weeks .

I see that the price did go down to $30~ish, but my estimated delivery date says between Nov 8th and Nov 15th (which is to be expected since I always get the cheapskate shipping).

Huh? $30 for the CE? Did they adjust people's preorder prices or something? Still says $39.99 for me. I was planning to get the standard anyhow, but if the collector's was 30 bucks...
I didn't preorder from Amazon anyway since they took like two and a half weeks to get me Ys Seven last time. Went over to Fry's today, but they didn't have Oath in stock yet. Probably will be there tomorrow.

Based on what I've gathered from GameFAQs forum posters, it was listed as $30 earlier and then jumped back up to $40 later. My guess (and again, just a guess) is that they goofed and lowered the price, but simply decided to honor the lower price for anyone who already had the game ordered.

Ah, missed out then. Oh well. I'll probably just pick up the standard edition at Fry's tomorrow.

Au contraire! Note that four of the calendar pages consist of JUST ART -- NO CALENDAR. Which means you can put it on display whenever you wish, for as long as you'd like! (: The individual UMD cases also line up to form the Ys logo. (: Glad to see people buying the game! Hope you enjoy the awesome, awesome localization! -Tom

Yeah, yesterday morning I read on Cheapassgamer that it dropped to 30, cancelled my preorder, and re-ordered it. It told me 2-5 weeks, then this morning got a message saying it'll arrive on the 8th...weird. Now I'm wondering if it'll still charge me 30 or not, or if they'll adjust the price... Also, to Orbus, I ended up buying Ys 7 CE at Fry's in the end because it was cheaper there....wondering if that'll be the case here as well.

Why would you cancel it? Amazon has a price guarantee on pre-orders. I ordered my copy the first time it popped up in my Gold Box, left it in, and it the total dropped right after the temporary price drop. Plus, they sent the game yesterday.
Anyway, I'm sure every fan of Ys will like it. Unfortunately for me, it's like back in the SNK PS2 days all over again where I'm buying double. But hey, as long as it goes to a company that fits my interests. Hopefully, XSEED has been doing well from Ys in the tough US PSP market.

It's spelled "Europe" again later in another, non-voiced bit of generic dialogue. /nitpick
