Ah, well. Failing that, Onyx, you can have up to three accounts on your Xbox that can receive a free month of Live each. Not sure how much it would bother you to have to play the game on an alt name, though.

I have a Japanese free account (mainly for downloading Japanese demos back in the day) on the illustrious 123 Fake Street building in Tokyo. Not sure if that counts towards the limit.
How does DLC work for alt accounts on the same machine? All the licenses are on the hard drive and the console but the way MS recognizes DLC can be very annoying and arcane at times.

Hm. I mainly just use mine for when I need to grind out multiplayer Achievements with a second controller. Maybe someone else on here has more experience with using them for full games?

Well, played about an hour of it (only up to the part after meeting up with Liara). Pretty fun so far, although I'm kind of bummed at how useless the ammo powers feel at the moment (decided to go with Soldier). I'm also paranoid I picked the wrong things on the branching skill tree - I'm not sure how often I'm going to be doing melee, so I was hesitant to go with those power ups. Kind of worried now that I'll have to restart and reroll.
My wife and I kept laughing at how roided out Vega was, and we were wondering how he fits in his normal suit.

Don't worry, as soon as you can explore the Normandy, you can get a free Respec in the med bay.

The mission tracking is pretty poor. I'm already completely overloaded with sidequests, and I don't see a way for me to keep track of the status of them without remembering everything. Your journal only seems to have information about the initial objective, but doesn't update as things change.
There's also some stuff, which is only accessibly from specific places - like emails from your terminal, and the resources from some other terminal. I don't see why, with all this futuristic technology, I shouldn't be able to access that stuff remotely.

Ok so why am I finding out JUST NOW that not only does the 360 version come on 2 discs, but ME2 did the same as well AND both games have some degree of disc swapping (with 3 being moreso annoying about this than 2 according to GameFAQs).
This just put a huge dent in my plan to buy the 360 version of both games.

I like switching between gun types, so I might re-do the skills to allow for a better carry bonus. I'm interested to see where Vega came from. So far, aside from his voice (provided by the whitest latino this side of Ricky Martin) not matching the roided out body, I don't really hate Vega. He hasn't really done anything but at the same time he's not as offensive as Jacob was in his "hay, check it, I do 500 situps a day and I'm still boring"-ness. In fact, I keep hoping that he'll flip out and tear off Kaiden's head in a fit of roid rage. I totally made the wrong decision on Virmire. All this so Shepard could stay pure for Tali. |

Okay, this is kind of annoying. Turns out Submachine Guns are the only weapons that get "Ultralight Materials" upgrades. The one weapon type that doesn't really need them...

Well, in the demo SMG they were by far the most useless weapon type light material at least will justify carry a tempest around for close range killing, much lighter then a shotgun.
There were also some very stupidly useless upgrades in the demo like giving a bayonet to a shotgun or extra bullets to a SMG. A bayonet to a sniper rifle would had be godlike or extra rounds to something that don't have already 50.
Damn, I will get the game in about a week, seems that GAME have a fight with EA and they no longer bring games from them.

caoslayer: Isn't GAME going out of business pretty much? I'd read that EA and Capcom aren't selling them anything anymore.
Anyone played the multiplayer mode much? I played for about an hour tonight, it was a lot of fun. I like the heavy pistol with the scope add-on. Sad thing is that out of four rounds my teams only completed one, and on the others we all died in the last round. Still, I'm at level 8 or 9 now, so not too shabby.

One of my friends jumped right into multiplayer and hasn't touched the single player at all yet. He seems to love it. But I think he's nuts for doing that first.
But does that readiness rating carry over between single and multiplayer? Should I do the multiplayer before I finish single player? I'm really not too big on multiplayer these days.

Yeah from what I had heard the Game company is in severe financial difficulties. There is a good chance they'll be going under which leaves no dedicated games chain in the UK gven Gamestop is already gone. They claim the reason they don't have Mass Effect 3 on sale is due to not being able to afford to sell it :\
